== This has been bothering me for some time now. Just when the dinner party was about to begin, notice the orchestra conductor (one who's holding a violin). Did he just look at the camera and smile right there? Before he start to lead the orchestra to play a version of "My Favorite Things"?

== When Maria returns from the abbey, she pulls Friedrich's hat down over his eyes, but in the next second his hat is back at a normal angle. He didn't have time to straighten it because he was already carrying Maria's guitar.

== After the announcement about the baroness becoming the "new mother", everyone went down the steps and you can see that Liesl was the last to leave, but in the next shot, she's the first one to walk down the steps.

== When Maria gets off the bus, it speeds away. But if you notice it must have been purposely backed up towards the estate wall prior to moving. In other words, it could not have just stopped in that position in the normal course of driving.

== In the boat scene, when all the kids line up for their father, Kurt's shoe falls off, and he kind of tries to get it back on without anyone noticing.

== While Maria is singing "I Have Confidence" and doing all that jumping and stuff, you will notice that her bag looks empty, but when she enters the von Trapp house, we now see that her bag looks kinda - bulky.

== During the song "My Favorite Things", when Maria and the children are on the bed, you'll see that Marta almost sang "...and then I don't feeeeeeel....soooo bad." Now, how can she know the line when they're just hearing the song for the first time? Catching up pretty quickly huh? ^.^

== I don't know if we can call this a 'goof' or not, but I think I'll mention it anyway. I'm sure you saw Gretl fall while trying to catch up with Maria and the others when they were on their way up to the hill. Poor little Gretl, I'm definitely sure that THAT was not part of the script.

== In the scene where Liesl and Rolfe meet outside the house (Sixteen Going On Seventeen), we see that there's a lamp post behind them, just in front of the tree in the background. But when the captain joins Maria (wearing her famous blue dress) at a later scene, there is no lamp post!

== When Max is about to tell everyone his new found singing group, the scene shows the captain closing the left door and then the right door, but when the camera made a close-up of him, the right door is closed again.

== The scene where Maria and the children were singing "My Favorite Things" in her bedroom, Friedrich's hair is slightly darker compared to other scenes. It is noticeable because later shots revealed that his hair is - without doubt - blonde.

== In the first part where Maria goes to see the reverend mother, Sister Margaretta places a hand on Maria's arm telling her she can go in, then she takes her hand away and walks out the door. In the next shot, she still has her hand on Maria's arm and then walks away again.

== The claim that an orange crate says "Product of Israel", despite Israel not existing at the time the film is set, is false. Though the crate and its label are clearly visible in a publicity still taken during the filming of that sequence, the crate is not visible in the completed film.

== As Maria travels on the bus to the Von Trapp's house, the view in the window to her left does not change although the bus is moving.

== The scene where the children introduces themselves to Maria, Marta comes up to her and tugs on her skirt with her left hand to get her attention, but when you look at it from Maria's point of view, she's pulling away her right hand.

== At the party, Herr Zeller greets the captain and baroness then moves his way, then a lady and gentleman greets the hosts and did the same, but as Herr Zeller stop and glances up at the flag, we see the lady and gentleman greet the baroness and captain again over his shoulder.

== During the thunderstorm where Liesl supposedly climbs up Maria's room, we see her outside sneaking towards the window. Then she tells Maria that she climb up. So she could've climbed up elsewhere and made her way along a ledge, but when we look outside, there's no evidence of a ledge wide enough for her to walk into.

== After Max told everyone his idea of a singing group, they all walk into the next room where we see the captain clearly reaching for a glass, but when the camera changes angle, he was holding a wine bottle instead.

== When Maria holds out the guitar for the captain to play, he was holding his wine glass with his right hand, but when he raises his hand to refuse, we see that he was holding the glass with his left hand.

== During the scene where the children and Maria fell off the boat, Louisa was already moving towards the gate, after showing the captain's stunned expression for a short moment, the camera returns to them and we now see Louisa carrying Gretl.

== As the captain inspect the children's wet appearance, we see that Brigitta was one step behind the line, but when the captain was about to remove Louisa's bandana, we see that she's now inline along with the others.
