What's Got Ya Curious?
Curiosity. It can be good or
bad...it just depends. Sometimes it's a curiosity that leads someone to
study a favored subject that later results in a lifetime career! Curiosity
is a primary driving force behind scientists - curious to know how things
work or can be improved. Curiosity begs the questions: "how?"
"where?" "what if?" and "what does".
There is also a flip side to curiosity that can lead to unhealthy results. Curiosity can lead to an unwanted drug or drinking addiction. Sometimes that "just one time" has turned into a progressive need that won't quit.
Sometimes curiosity causes us to push outside of common sense and rely only on our feelings; "I wonder what it would feel like?" "I wonder if it would make me feel better?"
Sometimes curiosity propels a person to seek sexual gratification outside of the marriage boundaries or in unhealthy ways: "I wonder what it would be like to be with _____" "I wonder if this would be satisfying?"
Sometimes curiosity drives people to become people they never thought they would want to be: "I wonder how it would feel to have _____ posessions, money, jewelery." "I wonder if I could get around the law." "Will anyone notice?"
So my questions for those that are reading this are: What's Got Ya Curios? Where do you draw the line? Is your curiosity
a healthy curiosity or does it open the door wide for future trouble? Victory Through Christ
