You know, I was just thinking how what you call the word "hell" (my home - always open and never full!) originated: Here is a little background for you just so you know you were warned as clearly as you could (I love to rub it in and make you feel bad - it's my pleasure!)

The Valley of Hinnom was a Hebrew expression for a valley located outside of Jerusalem. This expression is the same as the word 'gehenna' that is the greek word used in the new testament. This is interpreted to our English word: Hell.

The Valley of Hinnom was a place that was ued for human sacrifices to false gods. It later became a place where all garbage and sewage of Jerusalem was dumped. It had a fire that continually burned consuming all of it's wastes. Everyone of Jesus's day was aware of this ongoing fire. An area of death. Where nothing grew and the fire never stopped and the smell was potent.

When Jesus described hell to the people he referenced gehenna as an example. When the people compared gehenna to the hell that the unrighteous would be cast, they clearly understood the terrible suffering that the wicked would undergo.

They knew....but just like you...most were too stubborn and ignorant to listen!!!! You just GOTTA laugh at this!! Funny don't you think? I mean you must share in my pleasure!! You never did like witnessing!! You avoided it like the plague! But hey, I can't blame you! Those few times you tried I had you doubting yourself and so scared you almost wet your pants!!!! Wooohooo!!! We laughed so hard about that!!
