The Scheme’s received notification that its portfolio of evidence for the Approved Provider Standard (APS) was successful, and that they had met the standard of quality required. APS is a national benchmark for organisations providing one-to-one, volunteer mentoring or befriending and is supported by the Home Office and Department for Education and Skills.

The news came as the Scheme’s management committee met for a seminar to discuss ongoing improvement to the Scheme’s governance and management.
