 | ........... Chasing trains from station to station, only to catch it in
time within 5 minutes before it went tu..tu..tu.. |
 | ........... Sardine-ing ourselves among the locals, putting on a hard
face, hoping to send the message that "We were no easy target!"
especially in Italy when everyone looked at you as if you were some kind of
delicacies. |
 | ........... Having to wake up in the morning to see if the weather
was kind
to us for especially the first half of our trip. |
 | ........... Stomached a bottle of 1.5 litre Coca Cola which cost us S$6.15
in Venice |
 | ........... Learnt that it was a moral issue when a foursome checked into a
twin sharing bed in London (Even though the reception knew about it during
registration) |
 | ........... 6 hours retracking back to Paris from Switzerland to claim
back our lost friend - a S$2000 money pouch left inside the pillowcase for
"safety" purpose. |
 | ........... Chasing barefootedly to catch a railway officer who actually
stole our money when we were sound asleep in our 1st class train cabinet. The
rest of the passengers along the train cars simply watched us chasing him
without lifting a hand to help at all. |
I only had my back-ached recovered three weeks before going for this trip,
but after the walkathons (sightseeings) and marathon (police-thief game in
Italy), my lonely back had its companions back:- medical oilments and
plasters... I must say that my tourmates were so kind to me for not allowing
me to carry any heavy baggages. Strangers must be wondering why the
biggest physique in the group was as light as a feather????? We even spent a
tiresome 2 hours in the police station reporting or rather trying to
make ourselves understood by hand gestures and simple English about the train
robbery to Italy. Thanks to the insurance that we purchased, we managed to
claim the losses back in Singapore. But the fright of opening your
eyes to suddenly see a hand reaching over your head (where I placed my money pouch)
could not be replaced by any tranquilizer.
Bad weather forecast was reported before we left for Europe and true to the
reports, we had
rainfall of different velocities following us from London,
Paris, Rome (ironically, the coldest of all when it was the nearest to
Equator). We just could not imagine the rest of the journey northwards.
As we packed and moved to Florence, Mr Sun decided it was time for him to
surface behind those dark clouds. We were greeted by sunshine and warmth
(5 to 7 degree C). Only then, did I dare to allow my skirt to appear
before the camera. But it was a very bad idea.... cos I was freezing when
we had to walk 45 minutes in the open to get back to our hotel at night.
"Sound of music" was played LIVE before us in Austria,
bathing ourselves in the beautiful
sceneries and a non-audible music though the cast was missing.
Snow Slide? Yes, we had a wonderful time in Mt Titlis. Remember to
bring a plastic sheet for your buttock to act as a smooth slide; the next time you visit Switzerland.
See how much fun we had that the other tourists were so envious of our creative
thought.

This is what bring us up to the
top.
Snowslide that brought back childhood memories.
