KUKUP

Let me bring you for a virtual tour to our neighbouring seafood paradise over the Causeway.

With a full package of S$45/adult, you will get to enjoy an "eat as much as you can" durian feast, a seafood lunch & dinner & 2 shopping trips ... all in a day... oops forget to tell you that it does not include tips to the driver and tour guide.

After filling almost 70% of your stomach with that rich and creamy king of fruit. you will be transferred to the fishing village where our cooked seafood are reared.  The water is not clear but creamy brown.  You need to pull up the net to see those fishes.  One of the most interesting skills that we witnessed of the archer fish :- it obtains its food by shooting water from its mouth to "loosen" the bait from the edge of the net, rather accurate for most of the time.

After a 8-course lunch and shopping trips to Eden Duty Free Shopping Mall and Giant Hypermart, we were once again seated to have our 10-course dinner. Crabs, prawn, chicken, squid, mussel....again!!... ah yo YO.. too much cholesterol in a day already!!!

It is a typical trip of  "buy things, eat things, buy things, eat things.... stop to rest 'cos no choice"  (Sound familiar?? yah it's that advertisement promoting Hong Kong).

So sit back and relax and let me bring you to KUKUP.....

DSCF0067.JPG (43520 bytes) What a  big clam, the guy inside must be living  comfortably in such a big house... DSCF0013.JPG (294944 bytes) Since Kukup is a fishing village, a boat ride is a must to have a "feel" of the place.  By the way it cost RM$5/ride of approximately 20 minutes. DSCF0040.JPG (318642 bytes) Jaws... don't you even think of growing big enough to swallow me... wait long long...
DSCF0014.JPG (320398 bytes) Kukup's 1500 houses lives in stilts, and their daily outputs go directly to the feeding of the fishes and then the latter are served to the diners...Principle of recycle...

See the "richness" of the water.

DSCF0017.JPG (328779 bytes) Kukup's fishing village where fishes are reared in "cubicles" of 2m x 2m x 2m....till they are fit to be served on the dining table. DSCF0038.JPG (320755 bytes) Puffer fish.. is this the most dangerous part,  its poison-filled mouth...

Hope you have enjoyed the virtual tour to Kukup... . and have a full virtual feast of durian and seafood at zero cost and zero cholesterol. No bad right....
