He is always meticulously groomed when in public or at his gallery. His most noticeable feature are his eyes which can be described as intense. | |

| As Cyrus: | Cyrus wears a costume that consists of a white frilled shirt and dark grey pants. His head is completely covered with a crimson mask which shows no facial features. He also wears a dark grey hooded cloak with a silk crimson lining. He wears a golden amulet shaped like a hawk and a matching ring on his left hand. His right hand often holds a wand. | |
| Personality: | Cyrus has been trained by Kartakass to be a watcher and to remain unattached to the immediate events around him. He generally has a detached attitude toward the world. The combination of no longer aging, having lived through World Wars I and II, and seeing the forces that threaten the magical balance in the world has desensitized him to much of the events in the world. He tends to see events as chapters in a novel that he is reading where he is detached. He often uses humor to put events in perspective because he often does not see immediate events as important as long term trends. But there are a few people, such as his sister, that remind him of a time prior to Kartakass when everyday events were very important to him. They remind him that he is still human. Cyrus believes that the goals and mission of Kartakass are extremely important, but he is afraid of losing his connection with the everyday world and beginning to become a true watcher. | |
| Miscellaneous: | Most of his spells tend to have gnomes involved with them. Force example, his 'force field' is a team of gnomish body guards, who do their best to keep him from getting damaged. When he casts his force wall, a gnomish construction crew materializes and quickly constructs the wall. | |

Alex Cireau was the first born child in a farming family in Avize, France. During World War I his father was wounded and lost his left arm. After the war Alex's family struggled as did most of France. Shortly after the war his mother gave birth to twins, Michael and Marguerite. Marguerite died from polio at the age of four. Michael survived and seemed to have a love and talent for farming. Alex's youngest sister, Marie, was born in 1930. Because of the poor economic times Alex moved to Paris by 1935 to look for work. He survived as a struggling street artist in France during the late 1930s. When France was invaded by Germany Alex joined what he thought was an underground resistance movement to oppose the Nazi invasion. In reality he had been recruited into a group known only as Kartakass which watches the balance of magical power in the world and guards against magical incursions into this world. He has spent the past 60 years as an apprentice under Athos learning how to sense and control magical energies. He has now fulfilled his apprenticeship and has been assigned to watch the progress of magical powers in the new world, Chicago, as Cyrus. As Jacob Girard, he has moved to Chicago to take over his "uncle's" art business. Alex Cireau is long forgotten. |
