beato grain terminal

Located in the port of Lisbon, on the north bank of Tagus river, with finely railway linked facilities, Beato Grain Terminal is able to discharge simultaneously two 90m long coasters, at a minimum rate of 4,000 tpd each, using either Consillium mechanic or Hartman pneumatic systems.

At BEATO, a single handy sized vessel, up to a 200 m lenght or a 25 ft draught can also be accomodated as its pier, performing loading or unloading operations at even higher daily rates, directly outgoing or incoming a 120.000 mt storage capacity, built to be used mainly for grains but also beeing able to handle small cargoes of all types of non grain feed ingredients.

A 3,000 tpd (loading/unloading) railway spur and its strategic location, on the south/north axis of food and feed plants, has proven BEATO, in terms of E.U. originated agribulks, as a terminal that handles 1 million mt a year.

Facing the spanish Estremadura hinterland, at a closer distance than most of the Andaluzia and Cantabria ports, BEATO can be used as an economic alternative to spanish imports and exports, taking advantage out of natural return freights.

Following the recent cost-decreasing in the portuguese ports, due to a new dockers law, SILOPOR is looking forward to develop a specific policy in this business area, complemented by a cheap transfer across the river of feed and foodstuff discharged from big ocean vessels, at Trafaria, using "Silopor" motorbarge.

...One Million mt a Year !!!
