INTRODUCTION TO AIESEC UNITEN

 
 
 
AIESEC is a French acronym, which stands for Association International Des Etudiants En Sciences Economiques Et Commerciales, or ‘The International Association of Students Interested in Economics and Management’. AIESEC was introduced in Malaysia in the year 1968 with the first Local Committee in Universiti Malaya. AIESEC was introduced in Malaysia in the year 1968 with the first Local Committee, that is Universiti Malaya. Currently, there are six Local Committees in Malaysia and Universiti Tenaga Nasional is the first private university to set up its own Local Committee.

 
AIESEC operates as an international, independent, non-political and non-profit educational foundation, which comprises of students and recent graduates of higher education institutes and has a global network of 50,000 members across more than 83 countries and territories at more than 800 universities worldwide.
 
AIESEC plays a significant role in establishing new ways of shaping individuals and society towards:

Being the world’s largest student organisation, AIESEC plays a significant role in shaping  individuals and society through the exchange programme from ancient to modern times. It facilitates international exchange of thousands of students and recent graduates every year.

 
There are approximately 100 members in AIESEC Uniten committee. Out of the 100 people, 15 lucky were selected to participate in the study tour program. These students have been working on the program for more than a year and their effort has been immensely awarded with the award from DAAD as well as sponsorships from various companies and institutions.
