STUDY TOUR TO GERMANY

The AIESEC Uniten Local Committee’s core activity is ‘exchange’ and the method is ‘learning through experience’. As a part of the committee’s continuous effort into learning process, it had organized a study tour to Federal Republic of Germany.

Germany is one of the seven most advanced countries in the world. It is well known for it’s automobile industry, shipping, manufacturing, finance, and telecommunication.

The idea of this study tour to Germany was brought up by some members of the club for quite sometime. And eventually, in mid 2000, a committee was appointed to study the feasibility of the idea. After that, selection process was conducted, whereby interested students were interviewed and the successful ones joined the team. Since then, the students have been working hard to realise the dream. After a year and a half, their efforts were awarded by DAAD and contributions from other generous sponsors.

The objectives of organizing the study tour are as follows:

· To study the viability of German Education and the benefits the Malaysian undergraduates could benefit from it
· To establish contacts with the universities in Germany for cooperation and exchanging experiences and knowledge
· To promote Malaysia and encourage cultural exchanges
