History

Wecome to Watchers Legends, in order to make the game play easier and flow better there are a few historical things you must be aware of before starting out (or creating a character).

Timeline of Some Important Events

~4000 BC	Approximate founding of Watchers
~3020 BC	Methos (currently the oldest living Immortal) takes his first head – as far as we know
~2000 BC	The Four Horsemen band together and begin a reign of terror
1000 BC	Cassandra, later known as the Witch of Donan Woods, is made Immortal
900 BC	Cassandra escapes from the Horsemen and is taken in by her teacher – Amara of Thessaly
400 BC	Methos leaves the Horsemen and begins wandering the World
300 BC	The Watchers Council, as we know it today, is formed.


1400	The last official Watchers report on ‘Methos’ is given. He goes into hiding and his identity remains a mystery from now on.
1536	Connor MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod becomes Immortal.
1537	Juan Sanchez Villalobos Ramirez is killed by the Kurgan.
1592	Duncan MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod becomes Immortal.
1600	Regional Divisions around the world as well as Continental Heads are implemented. All Watchers within each region report to that region’s head. The Regional Heads in turn report to Continental Heads and they in turn report to the Council.
1700s- 1800s	Doctor Benjamin Adams travels Europe with Lord Byron. Later he spends time in the United States and cares for Slaves in the south.
1859	Rumors begin to fly about two movements in the Watchers Organization. One to form a Sanctuary to ensure the wrong Immortal does not win the Prize, and another that kills Immortals believing they are evil. Because of this an Internal Investigations Unit is formed.


1975	Joe Dawson assigned to Duncan MacLeod
1986	The Kurgan is killed by Connor MacLeod
1989	Anika Grayson is made Head Director of the Council
1992	Cosmo Johnson is made Head of Internal Affairs
1993	Darius is slain by the Hunters Duncan MacLeod finds out about the Watchers from Joe while looking into Darius’s murder.
1994	After centuries in hiding Methos is found by Kalas. He meets and befriends Duncan and Joe among others. He also lets on that he is posing as a Watcher named Adam Pierson, who, ironically, is in charge of the Methos Chronicle.
1995	Brian Carson is made Assistant Director of Council

1997	Cassandra tells MacLeod that Methos was once one of the Horsemen. She is also after Kronos – who tells them the other two Horsemen are alive as well. Kronos’s plans for terrorist actions are foiled by Methos and MacLeod. But the Horsemen are known to be alive and on the loose again.



2002	Present Day

Chronicles:
Immortals of 3000 years or older (be they dead now or alive) have an official Chronicle of their lives. A group of people is assigned to each Chronicle and work to research and piece together reports of events during their lives. This is of course in addition to any Reports a Watcher turns in on them presently (if they still live and have an active Watcher assigned to them).

Hunters
A renegade sect of Watchers and former Watchers who believe that Immortal are evil and a menace and should be eliminated. This groups is ran by James Horton and works in secret. They can be identified by a small tattoo (roughly an inch long) of a dagger with a drop of blood coming from the tip (this is always located on the person’s neck).

The Sanctuary
A rumored hide out on Holy Ground, populated by several Immortals, formed by some Watchers who want to ensure that an evil Immortal does not win the prize. It is not known if it is real or not and if real where the location is.

The Vault
This is the home of any and all reports ever made by the Watchers over the years. Located in London somewhere below ground it is a vast warehouse of knowledge. Not all Watchers know of its existence and fewer still have ever seen it or had access.
