This is Our World

General info on the places we go and the people in them.

Locals

The cities and places our characters spend most of their time (additions/suggestions to this are welcome - this is just a basic starter).

London

Watchers Main Headquarters
On the outside it looks almost like a school. Several buildings surround a central courtyard in the compound, which is located in Buckinghamshire to be precise. Security is top notch, no one gets in or out without going through the proper channels.

Oxford University
Oxford is a unique and historic institution. As the oldest English-speaking university in the world, it lays claim to eight centuries of continuous existence. As would be expected the Watcher’s have a presence here. Trainees go to school here, some higher-ups work here.

Highgate Cemetery
Holy Ground, the resting place of un-numbered dead. Immortals often come (in addition to Westminster and St.Paul’s Cathedrals) here to find haven.

Boston

Watchers Regional Department: Eastern US
All watchers in the greater Eastern United States report in here.

Boston University
One of the top US Universities. It is also the ‘home’ of Watcher regional head Christopher Schue, who is a Professor of History there.

Gethsemane Cemetery
Most popular holy ground in Boston.

Seacouver

Watchers Continental Department: North America
Smaller version of the headquarters in London. Reports are filed here from the four regions in North America.

Joe’s Blues Bar
Joe Dawson’s bar. Good music, good food and great atmosphere. Immortals frequent it as much as Watchers and mortals.

The MacLeod Dojo<br> The Highlander’s American home. A large workout gym dominates the first floor, while Duncan’s loft fills the second.

Paris

Watchers Continental Department: Europe
All European regions report in here.

Le Blue’s Bar
The French version of Joe’s Bar. The same credo applies, good food etc.

Pčre Lachaise Cemetery
Popular Holy Ground for European Immortals – many of which end up buried here as well.

Notre Dame Cathedral
Famous Gothic Cathedral. Frequented by many – mortal and Immortal.

Los Angeles

"Purgatory"
Located in an abandoned warehouse, occupying an entire city block in the rougher part of Los Angeles. Converted by the immortal Sabine this club operates on two levels. On the surface it is considered the hottest spot in Los Angeles, the line to get into the front doors can be a three-hour wait. Beyond the two floors of dancing, drinking and live music Purgatory caters to the darker world of the extremely wealthy. In a style that harkens back unto the days of Studio 54, entrance is only granted to the beautiful, the famous and the rich. For the right price Sabine’s staff will cater to any desire, her clients are well protected and their business is always kept private. The club is made up of five levels, the first two floors compromising what is the public part of the club. There are several rooms among these floors, offering a variety of both music and atmosphere. The third floor serves as a large kitchen and storeroom while the fourth accommodates both a brothel and space for ‘other activities’ of Purgatory’s patrons. Sabine’s offices and private apartments occupy the fifth floor. From this level all parts of the club are supervised by the immortal, security is very tight within the club. Cameras are positioned everywhere in the club, many in places where they aren’t wanted. Nothing happens that isn’t recorded by Purgatory’s security system. Basement level is locked and only Sabine has access to this level.

UCLA

What began in 1919 as the southern branch of the University of California is today one of the leading universities in the world—renowned for education, community service and innovation. Well known for its medical, technology and arts programs UCLA is a well diversified place, accepting students and teachers from all over the world. GROUND ZERO
7554 Sunset Blvd. Hollywood
Trendy little coffee house, done in an electic mix of themes from various periods. Coffee, and small pastry bar with a staff of ten. Live music, open mike nights, poetry reading and more performed during the evenings.

Libraries
UCLA - Scattered throughout campus
With some odd thirteen libraries located on this sprawling campus ... if you can't find it here, then its likely locked up in the vaults of the Watchers. Everything from art to science are housed in the various buildings.
