B orn in Cameroon in 1652, Luther died while on a slave ship. When the ship docked, he awoke the sight of Rebecca Horne. Knowing who he was, she took him into her home and taught him the skills that he needed to survive in the game. She even showed him the crystal that she owned, known as the Methusaleh Stone. When it was his time to leave, she gave him, like she did all her other students, a piece of the crystal. But Luther's greed grew over the years. His lust to gain the whole stone grew. A plan hatched in his head to gain it. In present times, Luther carried out his plan by killing off all of Rebecca's students and ultimately killing her. He succeeded for the most part, killing his mentor while she was with her husband and killing all of her students, except the femme fatal, Amanda Darieux. Despite his efforts to gain the stone, Luther failed. And by attacking Amanda, he drew in Duncan MacLeod, who was and continues to be Amanda's on and off love interest. Thinking Amanda's life in danger, Luther was sought out by MacLeod. The first time they met, Luther disappeared in a puff of smoke. The second time, though, was the last. Wanting revenge for her mentor's death, Amanda sought out Luther. Amanda soon came under Luther's power and skill and was close to beheading, until Duncan MacLeod appeared out of no where, holding the last piece of the crystal. Knowing that if he killed Amanda, he would never see the stone, Luther turned his attention to Duncan. The two warriors battled, jumping huge hay piles. But despite his years of training to obtain his dream, Luther was no match for the veteran Duncan MacLeod and was soon beheaded, leaving the whereabouts of the remaining crystal a mystery to Amanda and Duncan MacLeod. But we knew and obtained it. The crystal now lies at the bottom of the Seine river in Paris, France where it will most definately be for a while.
