Introduction:
Electronic Components are the basic building blocks of electronic equipment and instruments of all types. There are thousands of electronic components available - resistors, capacitors, relays, switches, transformers, connectors, semiconductors and all the other discrete devices.

Watts Electronics Pvt. Ltd. was started on 1st November 1981 at Cochin in India. It was the entrepreneurial effort of five engineers that brought in international resistor manufacturing technology to India. It has stood the test of time and today Watts is one of the leading brands of Carbon and Metal film resistors manufactured in India.

Quality being the motto Watts has won many laurels in no time. With imported machineries and raw materials, well-trained engineers, dedicated work force, stringent quality system and a full-fledged R&D dept., the company is keeping up its standard. It has also incorporated latest manufacturing equipment and techniques, to keep abreast with global technological advancement.

Capacity:
Watts has two production units, one each at Cochin (Kerala) and Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu). We are one of the few companies offering the total range of Carbon and Metal film resistors from 1/8W to 2W.
Our production capacity is 500 million numbers per annum.
Our turnover was Rs.35 million in 2000-01. The same is expected around Rs.45 million in fiscal ending March 2002.

Watts is servicing the needs of customers in different sectors of electronics by supplying international class quality carbon and metal film resistors as per their delivery schedules.
Our resistors are marketed directly to large OEMs as well as through a nationwide network to thousands of customers spread throughout India.
In short, when it comes to resistors, we are irresistible.

Future Plans:
Among our future plans are introduction of Metal Oxide Resistors and Chip Resistors.
We are also surveying some international markets for export opportunities. We are also open for alliances with international manufacturers and distributors to explore the possibilities of establishing joint ventures and marketing tie-ups.

Organisation Team:
Over a period of years we have built up a very strong team which is running our plants at Cochin and Coimbatore.
The team members include General Manager, Factory Managers, Supervisors, Technical Assistants and Machine Operators.
The team handles different aspects of manufacturing like production planning and control, quality system, inventory, personnel and administration.

The Marketing Dept. is headed by Mr.S.Ramakrishnan, one of the full-time directors.
It is the endeavour of our Marketing team consisting of Head Office executives, dealer network and representatives to anticipate the demand structure for our products, enlarge and satisfy this demand to the entire satisfaction of our customers.
We are renowned to ensure delivery of the entire bill of materials of our customers as per their delivery schedules on a continuous basis.

Main Products & Specification
Carbon and Metal Film Resistors are the main products manufactured by Watts Electronics Pvt. Ltd. The resistors are produced in five wattages i.e. 2W, 1W, 1/2W, 1/4W and 1/8W encompassing the whole range of values from 1E to 10M.
