Valentines Day

Some people don't know what Valentines Day is all about
It's not about being nervous or having any doubts.

It's all about taking the first step with that girl you've had your eye on
Or remembering why you're together with that special person to whom you belong

It's not about flowers, roses, chocolates or sweet things of the heart
It's all about being together and never being apart.

It's all about remembering your friends, family and those you care about
It's about finding the one you love and telling everyone with a shout.

If you keen to shower your special one with lots expensive gifts
Your efforts may be rewarded with a very special kiss.

A kiss that you will remember forever and will cherish all of your days
Someone who will tolerate and will forgive your stubborn ways.

Its time to remember the love you have for the young and young at heart
If your having problems with the one you have, perhaps it is time for a new start.

And now this poem is at its end. It's all I've come to say
I hope you find the love you deserve on this Valentines Day .

Friends after Marriage

We swore to each other it would last forever
It now it seems we are no longer together.
Our days were all filled with happiness and dreams
Our nights were a mystery of love-filled screams
We made a promise it would never come to an end
It now seems all my love, I have nowhere to send
Our love should have grown well beyond our years
Yet all we seemed to end up with is sorrow and tears
Now we have parted and gone our separate ways
I know we shall be friends for the rest of our days.

NO REGRETS

I often think of an old friend
Someone I cared about very much
And it would seem I still do
Due to my consistent thoughts

I'm sure there have been many times
I've made her mad, sad and angry
But I also hope she's been happy
And that she still is

I know that she still thinks about me
Like she does all the people in her past
I'm not sure a smile grows on her face
When those memories are recalled

We've been through all, her and I
Perhaps our paths will one day cross
And we are able to be nice to each other
Well my dreams are also my undoings.

WAYNE'S LIFE

I have seen the sun rise on water
And seen it set over the sea
I have seen the largest of animals from an elephant
To the smallest bumble bee
I've travelled across the desert
And across the widest plane
I've even been to Queensland
And seen miles of sugar cane
I've looked up at the biggest waterfall
And been shopping in the world's biggest mall
I've slept out under the stars
And even driven some really fast cars
I've had loved ones leave and die
Without a chance to say goodbye
But there is only one thing I need to learn
You don't get a say when it's your turn
So if you love someone, there's no reason to wait
Say you love then, or one day it will be too late.

NEGLECT

There is always time to reflect
To think of others we can neglect
We inflict on others, so much pain
Oh my God, are we all insane.
We run from a darkness known as fear
If we knew ourselves better, it would all be clear
We have come to a stage, where noone tries
To talk to each other, except for the lies.
It's time for us all to make a new start
To think of the past, to cleanse our heart.

Especially for You

I pray someday to be your knight,
To have you close, to hold you tight.

Every part of your body, especially your eyes,
Will forever stop me telling you lies.

I try to stay away, but can't resist,
Each time I see you, it draws me into bliss.

I know sometimes I may make you mad,
Remember, I'll always be there when you are sad.

Noone will ever be able to replace,
My piece of my heart, now an empty space.

But now this poem has come to an end,
Will all my everlasting love, this poem I send.

For Emily

I once knew a girl
She came from the Falls
All the guys wanted her
She had plenty of calls
Her body of pleasure
Would drive men insane
But she wasn't that easy
Her refections caused pain
She had a nice smile
Like the sharp edge of a knife
Penetrating men's hearts
Getting her into strife
I didn't know her long
But it was more than a pleasure
To spend time with her
That lady of leisure
She use to like riding
On the back of an equine
But was never too busy
To speak with you on the line
She has lead what some call
a complicated life
But she managed to pull through
Not getting into much strife
I wrote this poem
So she remembers I'm still there
Especially to remind her
I will always care

FREEDOM

On a hot dusty road, on the way to hell
I came across an old guy who had stumbled and fell
I stopped for a minute to lend a helping hand
He said what you doing boy, you don't belong in this land

I helped him to his feet, And he said with a smile
You missed your turn off boy, by about half a mile.
I asked him how he knew that I didn't belong
He said wait a minute a boy and I'll sing you a song

We don't get boys just lending a hand
To old fold like me just lying in the sand.
We usually get dust just kicked in our face
That's why they call this a hell of a place.

I asked him when he'd finished if he'd like to come with me.
I'm heading down this road, I said, to find a place that's free.
The only place that exists like that is growing in your head
As he fumbled through his memories, then quietly he said

For the place that you are looking for exists inside of you
Perhaps with time and patience I will get to see it too.
There was a smile on his face as he slowly closed his eyes
With his last breath he took, he murmered 'everything dies'

And with a tear upon my cheek I yelled out very loud
I know you didn't get to see it, but I will make you proud.
And so I left his wrinkled body exactly where it lay
I looked toward the vast blue sky, fell down and began to pray.

I know my day had come to carry on this quest
I had to find the freedom, until then I could not rest
I knew the answer was out there just waiting to be found
At first I didn't know where to start, until I heard a sound

It was of people singing, and dancing round a fire
And a group of young kids laughing and playing with a tire
I knew at once freedom existed within us all
And there it will remain forever whilst ever we stand tall.

The Journey

I'd like to travel far
And visit every land
To see how other live
And maybe stop, and lend a helping hand
To ride in all sorts of transport
Like a boat, a plane and a car
With all this modern Technology
Nothing is really ever too far
Except the life long journey
We are all travelling on
I know sometimes we all get lost
But we all have to go on
For without this journey
Of life, love and sorrow
For all we know
There will be no tomorrow
