Wayzata 2001 Conf Champs!
The regular season has almost come to an end and the Trojans are still rolling. Last Friday night they became the undisputed Champions of the Classic Lake Conference by defeating rival Armstrong 28-3. The Trojans did not play their best but did dominate the game giving up only a field goal with 11 seconds to play in the first half.
The passing attack came to life on Friday with Senior Quarterback John Croyle throwing for 2 touchdowns to Nate Woodbury and John Bolten. Other members of the offense with receptions include Andrew Ward, Kevin Czura, and Jeremy Klein. The other exciting part of Fridays game was that the defense returned to its normal self by dominating the opposing teams offense. Armstrong could not get anything going all night. Joey Klein and Nate Woodbury each had an Interception, Nate returned his 75 yards for a touchdown. Also Josh Rounds returned a fumble 40 yards before being tackled at midfield.
