STANDARD TOURNAMENT RULES

LAST UPDATED: by ADMIN ; JAN 20, 2006 @ 05:48 PM

1.
Obviously... NO hacking, cheating, tips, etc, etc.

2.
No smurfs allowed.

3.
No smurf watchers allowed either.

4. Up to
THREE* SS's must be taken upon request and sent to both the “Accuser” and myself (admin@war2.org) within
5 minutes after the end of the game (*applies only if the player was unable/did not use WarVid--If you can, please run WarVid instead).

SCREENSHOTS MUST BE IN THE ORIGINAL .PCX FORMAT--NO EXCEPTIONS.
VIEW THE
SCREENSHOT TUTORIAL TO SEE HOW TO TAKE & SEND SCREENSHOTS.

5. Denied
(or late screenshots without "good" reason) SS's will result in
auto-disqualification. (The "Accuser" may want to take a SS themselves to prove they requested a SS from the "Accused" if there were no watchers to witness/prove the request in game).  NO EXCEPTIONS!

6. If a player leaves--it's a LOSS, regardless of the 2 minute surrender mark—NO EXCEPTIONS. So if you do not run WarVid, you'll have to press the SS button SUPER-FAST to show the "So-n-So has left the game" (to prove your victory in case he doesn’t admit it, etc.).

7.  Early disconnects resulting in a DRAW stat-screen after the game will simply be re-hosted up to a maximum of 3 times per round.

Late disconnects
will have to be my judgment calls, report to tournament channel instead.

8.
WarLatency is allowed if BOTH players agree. However, I should be notified in advance of the mutual agreement BEFORE their game starts.

9. Matches not played on tournament specified settings will not count.

10. No spamming or excessive shit talking/arguing/flaming, etc. (You will be banned from tournament and/or channel).

11. Leaving at any point during the tournament may result in automatic elimination if the player does not return within a reasonable time frame. (E.g. okay to go piss/get a drink—NOT okay to afk for 20mins, etc).

12.
Your spot will be forfeited if you’re not presently in the channel (and ready to game) at least 10 minutes before the Tournament begins. (This is for organizational purposes to avoid delays in assigning forfeited spots in case there are “no shows”).

The brackets shall only be posted 5 minutes before tournament starts.

NOTE: These rules are modified version of the rules from W2IPL.

If there are any exceptions to these standard tournament rules for a specific event, it will be listed on the tournament details itself.

IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU READ THE FAQ AS IT COVERS MANY "WHAT IF'S" AND OTHER IMPORTANT TOPICS.
