Extension Activities

 

 

 

 

1. Compose a journal of a main character in the play. Write ten 1-1½ page entries describing key events, feelings, and struggles the character goes through.

 

 

 

2. Collect 10 objects in a box that can be symbols for the play. Write at least one page describing how each object is symbolic to the play.

 

 

 

3. Make a scrapbook for the play. It should include a minimum of 20 pages with a one paragraph description for each page. The pictures can be actual photos, or they can be drawn. Be creative!

 

 

 

4. Create a CD that features a song for each of the main characters and a song that could be the overall theme song for the play. The CD cover should be creatively designed, including the title and author of the play. The fold out should include a paragraph for each song of why it represents the character or play.

 

 

 

5. Write and perform a modern day version of the play. Include props and costumes.
