K students may check out one book. Grades 1-5 may check out two books. Magazine check out will be available. We will have reference books and sets of encyclopedias for overnight checkout. Usual book check out is for two weeks. Students will be able to reserve and recheck books.
Students
will receive overdue notices when a book is overdue. No fines are charged for
overdue books. An I.O.U. will be sent home with the student to be signed by as
parent if a book is lost. The I.O.U. states that the book will be paid for by
the end of the year if it is not found. If a book is damaged and cannot be
repaired, students are expected to pay a small fee to cover the cost.
Barton Creek's library is strongly supported by a large group of enthusiastic parent volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Ms. Boehme.
