We need all the help we can get. Yahoo made this decision in the first place because of negative feedback from 100,000 Yahoo users! This means that we have to get AT LEAST that many people to sign the petition. We're going to need EVERYBODY'S help if we're going to save our clubs! All you need to do is take a couple minutes to copy and send the message below to any, or better yet, all of the following email addresses:

I, along with MANY other members, am appalled at the thought that you are getting rid of Adult Yahoo
Clubs and Adult Yahoo Groups! I believe this would be TERRIBLE decision that would hurt both Yahoo
and all of it's users. Here are just a few of the MANY reasons why the Adult Clubs should not be
removed:

*This action will exclude the millions of people who use and enjoy adult content. These users will
then find other websites for some, but more likely, all of their various needs(leaving Yahoo entirely).

*Club founders have put in months and even years of hard work into their clubs. It would be completely
unethical to suddenly take away all this hard work. These founders have played a MAJOR role in the
success of Yahoo Clubs, as well as the Yahoo website in general. They have received absolutely no
warning that something like this would ever happen and have therefore had their trust betrayed.

*Negative feedback from those criticizing Yahoo's role in adult entertainment has come from the vocal
MINORITY. Many people are in favor of such content, and the rest are indifferent. People are indifferent
because it DOESN'T AFFECT THEM WHATSOEVER! It has always been true that people only find porn if they
WANT to find porn!

*Clubs themselves aren't even part of the issue that has been criticized. Adult clubs have always been
segregated from other categories, so once again people only find the adult content if they WANT to find
the content. Groups like the AFA have found such content because they have wanted to find it. It's
interesting to note that most of the world's major wars have been in the name of religion. This isn't
because these people disagree with other peoples' beliefs, but because they want to CONTROL how those
other people believe! Eliminating porn won't make the Yahoo experience any better for these other people,
it will just be CONTROLLING the experience of people who previously enjoyed adult material.Yahoo could 
send a better message by accepting differences than by being biased towards one group.

*Removing Adult Clubs will cause all clubs to be infiltrated by adult material. This fact has been stated
and repeated both by people who are making such plans or by those that realize the inevitability. This will
mean that Yahoo will be defeating it's original purpose. Instead of becoming porn-free, they will become
the premier spot where everyone can access porn, adults and minors alike. I'm sure I don't need to tell
you how much bad publicity and how many lawsuits this will create!

*Eliminating adult material and especially adult clubs will SEVERELY hurt Yahoo's revenues. It's not
as simple as calculating banner impressions and sales from adult products. You must also consider the
traffic Adult Clubs send to Yahoo Briefcases, Yahoo Photos, Geocities, personals and much more. Not to
mention the fact that not having adult material will drive people away from Yahoo entirely. This will
decrease revenue derived from email, the search engine, news, and countless other areas.

*Eliminating Adult Clubs will result in a tremendous backlash! Founders and members will be furious!
Look at how much uproar this has received already, and we don't even know what's happening yet! If
the clubs are deleted, or even just kept out of the directory, Yahoo will be hearing about it for years!

I am not writing this letter to complain or be vindictive, but rather because I am concerned about
preserving the integrity of Yahoo Clubs and the rest of Yahoo. I sincerely hope you give all of the
above considerable thought, because it reflects the views of MANY of your users. We just hope that
you have some concern for making us happy.
