YAHOO IS HURTING BAD AND THEY'RE ONLY MAKING IT WORSE!
Yahoo recently laid off 12% of their workforce!
Yahoo's stock price has dropped to just 1/10th of what it was
a year ago!
Yahoo is facing a mountain of problems already, they certainly don't need to make this
another one! Here are just a few of the many ways that this action will negatively affect Yahoo:
- The only reason Yahoo has achieved such great success is because they have embraced the
internet in all of it's facets. They certainly couldn't have & still can't afford to exclude a major
segment of their audience. They are everything to everyone, and it is this unbiased nature that has made
them great. Users themselves don't have to enjoy every area of Yahoo. Gardening people find gardening, sports
people find sports, and porn people find porn. A conflict only arises if the user creates one. Yahoo's decision
won't prevent the growth of the Adult internet, it will just exclude them from the income it
provides(banner impressions & sale commisions).
- Yahoo's loss of revenue and visitors will expand far beyond that which is anticipated by just
looking at the bottom line from the adult products. First of all, users of these products certainly use
other areas of Yahoo. However, if they can't find EVERYTHING they want at Yahoo, then chances are, they
will search out a site where they can find EVERYTHING. What's more, the hits created by the Adult Clubs
themselves fail to take into account the huge number of hits they drive to other Yahoo products like
Yahoo Briefcases, Yahoo Photos, and Geocities.
- All Yahoo Clubs will be infiltrated by adult material. Everyone, regardless of their interest,
needs some kind of outlet for that interest. Until now, adult entertainment enthusiasts have been able
to safely express themselves without affecting other users. Let me stress this point, the adult content
hasn't affected or hurt ANYONE that hasn't made a choice to look at it! Without this outlet, the rest
of Yahoo will be flooded with adult content. Instead of being commended for removing adult content, Yahoo
will be criticized for placing it in the hands of minors. Undoubtedly, this will result in endless lawsuits
and persecution. Ultimately, Yahoo's image will be forever tarnished!
- Let's not forget the backlash that Yahoo will receive from members and especially founders of
Adult Clubs. Trust me, I have read enough club messages to know that we aren't going to let these clubs
go without a fight. A fight that will continue even more intensely if Yahoo decides to delete the clubs!
Enough people are behind the cause that we'll dwarf that measly 100,000 users that complainded about
the adult material.
We need everyones' help to save our clubs, so make sure to Join the
Petition and Spread the Word!
