Online Survey Sites
The sites listed below are in alphabetical order. The word "recommended" will be found in light grey under the title of any site that I've had extremely positive experiences with. Since some survey sites are more active than others, there are several sites that I haven't worked with much -- I will add more information to their profiles as I continue to work with them. If you'd rather not read up on these sites, check out the Quick Links list to the right.
American Consumer Opinion offers cash rewards that range from $4-$50, depending on the survey's length. You are also entered in a cash drawing whenever you complete a screener survey. I have not received an invitation to one of their surveys yet, but I have heard good things about them elsewhere.
Bellwether rewards its panelists through drawings for prizes or cash. I received one survey invitation in the first month of being a member.

Brand Institute will pay its members cash for participation in online surveys and focus groups. The focus groups, called Brand Chats, involve spending a half hour or so in a chat room setting to talk about a certain topic. I received 8 survey invitations in the first month of being a member and am expecting a check in the mail for participating in a Brand Chat. So far, the survey rewards have ranged from $3 to $15.
Buzzback rewards their members cash for participating in surveys. I received one survey invitation in the first month that offered an award of $5.
Ciao Surveys is well known in the online survey world, but I personally have had little experience with it so far. They do reward their members in cash, so it's worth checking out. More information to come.
ClickIQ gives out points for participating in surveys, which can be redeemed for cash once you've earned at least $25 (2500 points). You are entered in a monthly sweepstakes for updating the screener surveys listed in your profile. My first survey was worth 150 points and was pretty short.
Consumer Link offers a cash reward ranging from $5 to $50 or an entry into a cash sweepstakes for their surveys. I was invited to one survey in the first month. They're another rather large site that I've heard good things about, so it's worth looking into.

Datatelligence rewards its members with points that are redeemable for various prizes. I was pretty impressed by the types of prizes that they offer -- rewards range from charity donations and inflatable pool toys to Dell Computers and Samsung flat screen TVs. It's obviously rather difficult to accumulate enough points to get a new computer, but there are some decent smaller prizes as well. I haven't had a chance to take any surveys through them yet, but I'm recommending them based on their rewards.
I know very little about this site because I haven't been invited to take any surveys. They reward members by putting them into sweepstakes drawings.
Rewards are given out in points that are redeemable for gift certificates. I haven't been invited to any surveys yet.
Depending on the survey, ESearch will reward you by placing you in a prize drawing or paying you in cash. I received two survey invitations in the first month.
The FGI Smartpanel rewards members through drawings or cash. I haven't been invited to any surveys yet.
Focusline rewards its members with cash. Since I haven't been invited to a survey yet, I'm not sure how much they pay.
