An emerging indurstrial economy, India is still full of old world charm. After a trip, many travellers decide to make India a home, some make it a second home ,many decide to do some kind of a business with the country that is slated to be an economic powerhouse in about twenty years time.

SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE

Another significant experience of many is the spiritual experience the country offers. Travelling in India confronts visitors from North America and Europe with situations so different from those back home, that often one’s core personality is questioned and fundamental values challenged. Many times this leads to a lot of change in a person –  aka the spiritual experience.

India is home to many sciences that deal with one’s personality , one’s life. Meditation techniques for relaxation can be learned in India. The age old science of yoga originates in India with many excellent teachers and ashrams. The ashram experience ( retreat from the world to focus on the development of mind and body) offers many solutions to the unhappiness that results from an industrial life. Ayurveda treats the body addressing its fundamental imbalances in the five basic elements that form the body.

MEDICAL TREATMENT

Surgery and medical treatment in India is very inexpensive and of good quality. The best doctors in India compare with the best in the world ,only they do not cost as much. From the mundane dental treatment of a filling or a root canal to the more advanced surgeries like heart surgeries, GIT, kidney transplants..all can be done in India at a fraction of the cost.

UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE

India is an unforgettable experience – you may like it or hate it (if you cannot see the treasures hidden behind the poverty and heat and dust you encounter). It is however an experience that one should not miss. She will surprise you with her treasures in philosophy, art, music, temples that are unparalleled in the world.

We have but a lifetime and in this life we experience joy, laughter, pain, birth and death irrespective of the culture we come from. In India , one may come closer to experiencing this from the heart than in most countries.....
