U of O: From a marching bander's view
W.A.R = 6

K, this place has gotta be one of the most expensive places in the world. Psh, forget about new york, hong kong, or tokyo. Gosh, this is the only place where you'll buy a burger for $6.00 and it's roughly the size of two or three quaters. I ate it in about uh 3-4 bites. Oh and get this, you pay $3.00 for a bottle of Aquafina that you can drink in one long drought. Lol, i guess memories don't come cheaply.
However, there were some ups at the time i spent there. They have this huge indoor field where they can practice almost anything on. Gosh, if we had an indoor marching band field... ooooh. *lost in day dream for a moment* You get the general idea. but gosh, that place was big. Amoung other things, such as the stadium. The stadium was pretty big, so big that there is a sound delay of about 5 seconds from one side of the stadium to the other. That was different... since we were marching all over it and everything.
However, the tunnel, the tunnel and the way their band played and the "O"'s taht were on thire backs was probably the reason i gave this a 6.
The tunnel was the hype of what people told me last year. And the tunnel really did meet it's hype. Walking down that tunnel, you didn't know what to expect. All you can hear is the excited cheers of the crowd. Walking out of that tunnel into bright day light was an awsome experience. The moment you step out of the tunnel into the glory of the sunlight, the crowds going wild, the annoncer going "taking the field from VANCOUVER WASHINGTON! ThE BLUE THUNDER MARCHING BAnD!" that was pretty amazing. Lifting your eyes you can gaze at the attentive eyes of the crowd expecting you to give a proformance of a life time, and you go, "yeah, this is the big huge welcome that was waiting for me..." "i'm home."
Then walking away from the crowd going crazy, into the tunnel, leaving the glories of your proformance to be apprieciated by the audience, and for yourself to be amazed and awed by your memory. Yeah it was all that.
Then after all this, you run up to the bleachers and you see the colleges marching band proform. Wow, what a site. I don't think anyone explored their themes as well as they did. It amazes me for i actually thought for a moment taht perhaps, they were out on see. they were good. (they proform on holloween for the MTV vs. Evergreen showdown)
And, because i'm just weird like that, i loved the "O"'s that were on their backs, it was soo funny. They turn around and you have like 100 "O"'s just marching around the field. I was just mezmorized. Lol, the "o's" were awsome. ^_^, remember the "O"'s, and the Shinies (marching band last year)
