| Sister Hilda had a little boy and called it Jonnie after its uncle. |

| John Tripp and I quit hunting for this fall unless there comes |
| more snow we got four I killed two. John one and a half one. |
| Tuesday, December 03, 1889 |
| Mother and Hilda came home but the baby had died on the |
| road to Aitken. Hilda feels awful bad about it. |
| Thursday, December 05, 1889 |
| We took little John Fisk Amadon down to the cemetery and |
| buried him. John and Jennie Tripp, Sister Mary and myself |
| were all that went. Hilda was too sick to go. |
| Monday, December 09, 1889 | She sent me her |
