Researching the family tree of Zephaniah Forrester b.London 1825 m. Caroline Wilson 1852 London. They had 6 children in Vic between 1858 and 1869. Apparently he was a baptist minister in the Lauriston, Kyneton areas. His daughter Martha Sophia Forrester m. George Eugene Didier in 1891, my g great grandmothers brother. Any info on Zephaniah greatly appreciated. ALSO researching a different Zephaniah Forrester b.1854 at St.Pancras,Old Church,London who m. Susan Noble Holbrook, Vic 1889 and had 8 children. Both Zephaniahs I believe to be related! Can any one help? They had 3 children one of which was Phyllis Olive Adeline who married Phillip Edward Archer. They had four children one of which was Mavis Yvonne Archer who married Walter Cyril Cole on 12/12/1946 (both now deceased). Mavis and Walter Cyril Cole had 4 children one of whom is Peter Francis Cole who is my brother in law. There are actually 3 Zephaniah Forresters -which had my friend and I intrigued for a while, until we got some certificates.(we both had different female forresters on our trees and both with a Zephaniah as a father - how unusual is that!!) So we set out to prove a connection and to see if we were related. Your Z(no.2) who m.Caroline Wilson had a father Z(no.1) who m.Sarah Chattaway in 1813 and he would have been b.approx.1790. Z(no.3), a brother of Eliz Sabina was born in 1854 St.Pancras,London,the first child, all the other 6 born in Vic. He must have come out to Aust. with his parents between 1852-1858 so that is a shipping list to yet look up. BUT, his mother is listed as a Mary Anne,not Caroline Wilson - a mystery to work out. Was he born to a different mother 2 years after his father m.caroline or was her name Caroline Mary Anne Wilson?
