She pressed her face close to The Only Way Out. "Funny," she thought, "I would have thought it
much colder than this." In fact, the water seemed to be the same temperature as her own body.
She wasn't sure if it was because of that or because she was so frightened that her bladder let
her urine go. Somehow it did not seem to matter. In fact, nothing did. It felt so much easier to just not think at all, to just lie here and... breathe. "I'm making ripples on The Only Way Out." The thought almost made her smile, but she could not quite muster up enough emotion to make any muscles actually move. "If they only knew you do not actually have to use The Only Way Out. You could just lie here forever and not move." She wondered why they had all seemed so scared of this place; it seemed as incomprehensable as being afraid of the womb. The water began to fill her mouth. She felt no need to get concerned. "Who ever said that water hurts when it hits your lungs? It feels like breathing." And so she went through the ripples. >> |
