There are many different type of cloth diapers available and I am not going into great details on them as there are already lots and lots of websites that has information on them.  I will just touch on the basic cloth diapers to get you started and provide links that will give greater in-depth on

1. Flats
Flats are the large rectangular cloth that are easily available here in the departmental stores.  They are folded up and secured round the baby's bottom by diaper pins.  Flats require the use of a waterproof cover to prevent leakage.

2. Prefolds

Prefolds are similar to flats but they are made up of many layers and comes in different type of materials.  Prefolds usually come in three type of thickness: 2x6x2's; 4x6x4's, amd 4x8x4's . The numbers refer to how many layers. For example, a 4x6x4 has 4 layers in the two outside panels and
