| Okay, I haven't actually watched this movie (I had a bad Thomas Hardy experience in high school), but it's gotten very good reviews and Kate's performance is especially well-regarded. I also like the look of the film stills; the composition and lighting are beautiful. All right, I really will go out and watch it and report back on whether the filmmaking and performances are enough to make me forget how much I hated Tess of the d'Urbervilles - if anything can do it, Kate can. |
