As it was a cold day, I wore my black leather knee-length skirt, pink sweater, black high-heeled boots and fur coat. |
I drove to Doreen Fashions, where I always start my quest for new outfits, and received a warm welcome from Betty and her charming assistants. |

As soon as I told her that I was looking for an outfit to wear at Royal Ascot, she showed me a gorgeous white slip dress and jacket and a matching hat. When I tried it on, everyone in the shop told me that it looked stunning on me and I had to have it. |
I did not need much convincing, especially when Betty said that it needed taking in at the waist(!), which her seamstress would do for me. |

I tried on lots more outfits and also bought a long white evening dress and a disco outfit. We agreed that I would model some of the outfits for the shop's website and that I would collect the Ascot outfit the next day. |
