WWF Horsemanship Camps
for Youth and Adults

We have beginner, intermediate and advanced classes. Instruction will include:
* How to conduct yourself safely around horses
* Proper horse care - Feeding, Cleaning, Grooming, Tacking, Basic Medical Care
* Types and colors of horses
* Horsemanship and Sportsmanship
* Showmanship in the ring
* Horse anatomy and psychology

Horsemanship I
Beginner - Very limited or no experience or little confidence with horses
Horsemanship II
Intermediate - Some experience and/or instruction, but needs more work on form
Horsemanship III
Advanced - Extensive instruction and experience "automatic" good form/control

Youth Camps
Intro To Horses - Horsemanship I
Designed for campers with a love of horses but limited prior experience. The teaching emphasis is on safety, basic skills up to a trot and stable management. Terminology, colors and breeds, anatomy, conformation and basic horse psychology is also included. Riding lessons help teach balance, independence and confidence. This camp is a great way to learn about Safety and Horsemanship.
Horse Lovers Summer Day Camps - Horsemanship I, II
Nothing to do during the summer? Sure there is! These camps are a winning combination of learning, fun, games, prizes, and relationship-building. We teach grooming, tacking, safety, thinking and communicating like a horse, and best of all - spending hours in the saddle learning to ride. WWF is all about encouraging and challenging kids to be their best!
4H County Fair Prep - Horsemanship I, II, III
Must be registered in 4H to get the special rate. Includes stall rental. This clinic is for the beginner, as well as advanced rider preparing to show at their 4H county fair horse show. Each class will be extensively covered from start to finish. The will include showmanship, horsemanship, pleasure, trail and games.
Girl Scout Badges
Each award program is 2+ hours in length. Each session will include: Lecture, Video, Demo, Game, Hands On. Each activity will be progressive skill building aligned with the Certified Horsemanship Assoc. -(CHA) Level Standards, with SAFETY being the foremost. The horses will be assigned based on each rider's ability. The Master Instructor is certified through the CHA and is also a Certified CHA clinician, Multi-State and Breed Carded Judge and Certified in Equine Management. Picnic and campfire area. Trail Rides arranged in advance after the Horse Rider Badge is earned. Please ask for detailed Program description from the Council or WWF. Weekend Specialty Camps - Horsemanship II,III
English - Intermediate Western - Intermediate Combination - Advanced .
If you are serious about horses and looking for a way to further your skills, you will love our Weekend Specialty Camps! You'll spend five intense hours each day training alongside our incredible show-winning instructors refining your horsemanship. Each camp focuses on arena work and personal equitation for English, Western, Advanced Horsemanship, or Showing. All camps have very limited enrollment and promise to be as fun as they are educational. In order to attend, you must have completed at least Level I instruction.
Horse Show Camp - Horsemanship II,III
This camp is for the rider who wants to learn to perfect their skills and learn new ones. The focus will be on the all-around rider and will include showmanship, western horsemanship, western pleasure, English equitation and hunter under saddle. In addition extensive time will be spent on pattern work and preparing for the show circuit.
Certified Horsemanship Assoc. (CHA) level program
Certification of Youth at the CHA Levels Preparation time and pricing depends on the individual. See Lessons for pricing preparation.
CHA Certification Skills Clinic
Prepares Youth (16&up) and Adults for Instructor Certification at a Recognized CHA Clinic. For group riding instructors dealing with progressive skill building in all levels of riders, both in the arena and on the trail. Certification may be earned in English and/or Western disciplines; minimum age for assistant certification is 16, minimum age for instructor certification is 18. Eight levels of certification may be earned in both English and Western disciplines, ranging from assistant instructor to CHA clinician.
Adult Clinics
