History and Goals

Kathy's equine knowledge is derived from a diverse background cultivated from working with an array of individuals.

Kathy started her riding career at the age of 7 on a Shetland pony that showed her many unique ways to fall off. She became an expert at staying on and moved up to horses with her moms Quarter Horse. She started showing in 4-H and was taught the many values, ethics, and guidelines that she carries with her today. She has successfully competed in 4-H, USEF, Hunter/Jumper Shows, AQHA and Class A Arabian Shows, and USDF Dressage Shows.

She is currently breeding Belgian Warmbloods and has a third generation of the breed. Keyaira, an up and coming mare, is being conditioned for her "E" Label Status or Elite Rating with the BWP. Keyaira needs to pass similar tests that stallions have to pass to achieve approval for breeding. These tests include: Confirmation Inspections, Extensive Veternary Exam, Competition Requirements in Dressage, Jumping or Eventing and producing a qualifying foal. She has successfully passed her qualifying Keurrings and veterinarian exam. In 2007 Keyaira produced a stud colt that was approved with a score of 71. Keyaira is in training w/Kathy for competition. Upon completion and approval, Keyaira will be one of handful of mares in the United States as an "E" (Elite) Label Mare with the BWP.

Kathy enjoys working with youth and adults to help them achieve their goals. Being successful in the show ring or on the trail depends on the basics of proper horsemanship skills. Her lesson and coaching programs are energetic, 1 on 1 or group session's that are positive and non-pressured. An individual program is designed with your personal goals in mind.

Her Judging - Clinics - Coaching - Training and Instruction are concentrated around Safety, Fun, Education and Balanced Seat skills for all disciplines of riding.
