Parent Information Guide GOAL: The PROJECT Synergy Works program provides students tutoring, enrichment and other activities to its participants. The components of the pro- gram are designed to provide youth with the opportunity to: 1. Stay in a safe environment with positive role models during non-traditional school hours. 2. Socialize with their peers in a healthy manner. 3. Receive assistance with homework. 4. Engage in learning activities that may not be available during school hours. 5. PROJECT Synergy Works offerings and activities may be modified at any time to best suit the needs of our students. ENROLLMENT: All Students in grades K-8, who attend one of the PROJECT Synergy Works sites are invited to join the program. Parents and students are responsible for bringing home- work to the program and ensuring that homework assignments are complete and accurate. LEARNING TO LEARN: Students participate daily in these sessions which are designed to encourage questions and hands on involvement. All of these sessions tie directly into their daily school curriculum. ENRICHMENT: Students choose each session the classes that they would like to try. These include sports, karate, music, art, video production, environ- mental classes, drama, and agency programs from the Boy's & Girl's Club, 4-H, and Scouts. All students participate in these on a daily basis and have the opportunity to try new enrichment classes each of the eight week sessions.
