Mr.Albert wijegunawardene was a veteran in many fields.
He was a pioneer in leading bussiness Enterprises in Sri Lanka.

1.Aluminium Industry
2.Elasto shoe company and Delta steel tube company
3.Kalani Kebals aluminium wire production company.
4.Sarasavi studios for film making and sound dubbing.
5.Horizon hotel (in tourist trade)
6.Engine Boat industry
7.production of 3D calendars.etc;

He was the founder president of
Lanka Jathika SARVODAYA Shramadana Sangamaya
a leading voluntary organisation which has spread all over the world. Through which he helped a lot of people who need such help.

He also started many organisations to prevent the nature
and to Develop Agricultural Practises in Sri Lanka. He had a lot of New ideas and fields which others took the benefits of. Even though he new that the others will get the benefit out of it, he was not greedy to keep them with him.

Mrs.Chithra was a Principal of a rural school and was a keen Buddhist. She was also a great Social worker,
who helped lot of school children as well as buddhist Temples.

They had contacts with lot of foriegners who admired their hospitality. They both practiced Meditation and were very peacefull in their minds. They knew, one day they are going to die, and gave away a part of their wealth for the benefit of the people who were in need.

Mrs.Chithra was a meditation teacher and has done a great service by building, a complete school building to a rural school, spending the salary which she earned as a teacher,
for many years, and donated to the government.

She also donated many school needs for school children
and has built many buildings for buddhist temples in Sri lanka.

She also has helped to develop sports for school children.
She has printed many books regarding Mind and Buddhism.
Also she was a member in many social organisations.

With all this work load she was a good housewife who did not fail her day to day responsibilities.

Mr.Ajith Wijegunawardene is the Second son of Mr.and Mrs.Wijegunawardene After he finished his studies in Nalanda Vidyalaya he Joined Mayura Garment Industries as a Production controller and he was doing lot of social work through  Boys Scout Ascociation of Nalanda Vidyalaya.

Following his fathers footsteps subsequently he was the managing Director of Delta Steel tube Furniture factory, and Wijegunawardene Brothers group of Companies which consisted of  two tobacco agencies, two book shops, a restaurant, and a grocery until he fell ill.

At the later stages he was manly responsible to look after the sick parents, and being residing in the ancestral house of the parents he also had the responsibility of carrying forward the father’s, business activities and social work.

He took part in many social organisations in the village and made the boundry wall and the gate to Owitigal Maha Vidyalaya. He left this world leaving his  wife and one son on 23rd of September 2005 after a brief illness.

He left this world leaving all us, his  wife and one son in year 2005.
