When I ordered the car I got it with the mustang II IFS and a 4 link rear setup using a narrowed 9 inch ford rear. This was an option. The front was exactly as I expected, all new parts with disc brakes. The rear was not what I expected. The 4-link looked real good, new parts and appeared to have been installed with care. The rear housing (a 9 inch ford) looked like an old junk yard rear. It had been narrowed but the welds did not look very good, a lot of pits and bubbles. I had it looked at by a local Race car fabricator, Richard Stephens. He suggested we re-due the welds and check it for true. After placeing the straight bar jig in the housing it was clear , even to this untrained eye, that the axle tubes had been installed crooked. I left the rear with Richard to have it straighted, re-welded and a back brace installed to help hide the pits.
Following the removal of the rear from the frame it was time to sand blast the frame in order to powder coat it. I had the frame and chassis parts powder coated silver with a clear coat with some parts in red.
