El Capitan

A view of the Valley from the Highway 41 Wawona tunnel view lookout, with El Cap on the left, Half Dome at the back, and Bridalveil Falls hammering down on the right.
Yosemite Valley

A view of the SW Face of El Cap. The Nose is pretty much in profile between sun and shade, while the Salathe Wall trends left up the sunlit SW face on the left. The East Buttress is also in profile at middle rear, while Cloud's Rest is the snow covered peak (~10,000ft) off in the distance, living up to it's name.
El Cap

A view of the SW Face of El Cap, with clouds obscuring the SE face.
El Cap

A view of the South West face of El Cap from way over the far side of El Cap meadows. From this angle, the Salathe Wall starts just left of the main pine tree, while The Nose starts just right of the same tree. Some clearly visible major features are: Sickle Ledge (on The Nose), the sunlit feature standing out of the shaded area R of the top of the pine tree; The Half Dollar (on Salathe Wall), up and left from the same pine tree; and The Heart pretty much in centre of shot.
El Cap

A view of the West half of El Cap from the near side of El Cap meadows. The Nose is pretty much central.
El Cap

El Cap in all its glory. The top of the East Buttress (5.10) is just visible at far right.

Another obvious photo

Ok, who knows what this is?

Another obvious photo

Two fellas taking a break below the final pitch of Little John Right (*** 5.8).
Little John

Arse shot of some fella toproping Moby Dick (5.10a), with the crux fingerlocks at bottom right, and the monstrous 3000' South West Face of El Cap towering above.
Moby Dick

And another arse shot, this time me onsighting the mega 50m first pitch of the Salathe Wall (5.10c), with the monstrous 3000' Nose of El Capitan towering above.
Salathe Base

Third time lucky with the arse shots....Nic raps off after doing Pine Line (5.7), the first pitch of The Nose. The monstrous 3000' Nose of El Capitan is towering above.
Pine Line

A zoomed view of the bottom fifth of The Nose, with Sickle Ledge across the top right of shot. There are at least 12 climbers in this shot.
