.44 Caliber Man
|
When his horse is
injured, The Ysabel Kid flags down a stagecoach for a lift. On
board he meets Colin Farquharson of Inverey, a Scotsman still wearing the traditional
dress of his homeland. Also on board is Jeanie Schell, whose father recently died. The
Kid, remembering her family, dubs her father a true .44. Caliber Man, a man of honor and
strength. Before much more conversation can be conducted, bandits, members of the Flores brothers gang, hold up the stagecoach. In an altercation with Colin that follows, a Flores brother is killed. Colin is soon the target of the remaining family members. Jeanie takes Colin to her family's home, and accidentally her brother is injured in a confrontation with Flores gang members. Dusty Fog and other Floating Outfit members are soon involved in helping out with the Flores. Meanwhile Jeanie's family is working to get a horse gathering contract from the Army, a contract that is endangered by the lack of a man to head it. Colin soon fills the void but not before a rival company is posing threats to the family. All of the conflicts build to a deadly conclusion that require the talents of Dusty and Colin alike, especially as Colin masters the use of a .44 Caliber Colt. |
