WHO IS SHEKINAH?

THE ARK OF SHEKINAH

A NOVEL BY

WILLIAM MICHAEL CAMPBELL

GENRE: Character-driven Science Fiction

For I am the first and the last.
I am the honored one and the scorned one.
I am the whore and the holy one.
I am the wife and the virgin...
and many are my sons.
I am the silence that is incomprehensible...
I am the utterance of my name.*

SHEKINAH: In ancient literature, she is the Divine Goddess--the feminine counterpart of Jehovah; together they bring perfect balance to the universe. Is the mysterious girl found in an alien spacecraft the physical embodiment of this divine goddess, or is she the devil in disguise?
That's what Cliff Edwards, a pilot for
Skyguard, the covert U.S. government agency responsible for monitoring alien activities on Earth, must determine. The alien spacecraft--codenamed "Shakti"--contains a coffin-line container. When Cliff awakens the girl inside the coffin, she bonds with him and he realizes he must rescue her from Shakti before a strange religious cult finds her.
Aided by a supercomputer named "Alice," Cliff takes the girl to a secret bunker hidden deep beneath an abandoned copper mine in Kennicott, Alaska. The girl has no memory except for her name: Keenah. Although Keenah's physical appearance is that of a teenager, Alice speculates that she is thousands of years old.
Matters are complicated by a man named Stephan Satanicus, who has been hired by the religious cult--the "Institute for Cosmological Research"--to find Keenah. Satanicus has plans of his own as he kills anyone who gets between him and Keenah.
Is "Keenah" short for "Shekinah" and does this beautiful young girl represent the fulfillment of an ancient prophesy to return perfect balance to the universe? Join Cliff and Keenah as they struggle to stay one step ahead of Satanicus, Skyguard, NASA, and the Institute for Cosmological Research (not to mention Cliff's ex-girlfriend).
