Events

Shawls are decorated in a variety of ways. Beadwork- Intricate designs beaded right on the fabric. Applique-the technique of piecing fabrics onto a background to form a design. Ribbon-work - Basically embroidering ribbon in intricate patterns onto the fabric. Embroidery- Needlework with floss to create various and interesting designs. Painting- this is a ancient form of decoration.  Plant-based dyes were using to permanently mark a design that was significant to the wearer.  A truely beautiful art!
