Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey, a talk show pioneer, actress, producer, magazine founder and editorial director, educator and philanthropist has always been an inspiration for me. Despite her painful childhood background and the world's discrimination against African American women, she fought the battle with herself and the world into becoming "an indelible mark on the face of television". She inspired me to be courageous in taking risks, to think of life as a continuous learning process, and to share happiness. She certainly is a woman of determination, passion and integrity - thus is more than worthy of being one of the Best Stylists in Hollywood!

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez enjoyed great success as an actress before she came to become the fashion leader of Hollywood. Despite her not so wealthy background and accent, she became the highest paid Latin actress in history. With her role in Selena, she went to pursue her music career in greater depth, making her singles to top Billboard charts everytime it came out. Multi-talented, passionate and strong-willed are some of the words that probably best describe her. She is one of the few pop stars who really motivate me to give the best in everything that I do.

Catherine Zeta Jones

Born in Wales, on September 25th of 1969, Catherine Zeta Jones knew her love for singing, dancing and acting at a very early age. She began acting at age 11, and was featured in many musicals, films and TV series in Great Britain. It was not until she played Elena in the movie "Mask of Zorro", however, did she come to get the Hollywood spotlights. With her exotic and elegant style, she immediately was loved by both the critics and the audience all around the world. What I particularly admire most about her is her power of determination and passion for acting, singing and dancing. Especially when she acted Velma in the musical film "Chicago", she was able to perfectly portray the character as a fruit of continuos practice and learning. I also admire the fact that she manages to balance both her family and career, not ignoring any of those. She certainly is one of the kind.

Nicole Kidman

A dual citizen of both the US and Australia, Nicole Kidman was born in Hawaii but was raised in both countries. She is said to have been an active, artistic and focused child even at a very early age, learning ballet at 3, mime at 8 and drama at 10. She knew that her passion and talents lied in acting and thus pursued her career since she was very young to the point that her first kiss was done during a play. She continued to play many diverse characters in different films and the Hollywood attention on her reached its peak when she got married to Tom Cruise. Even after she got divorced, however, she is still referred to as "the woman who moves the Hollywood". I admire her not just because she is exceptionally gorgeous and elegant but because of her choices of movies to be featured as well as her continuous efforts to challenge herself in different roles. Many of her films such as Far and the Away, Moulin Rouge, the Others, Eyes Wide Shut and the Hours, all are films with central meaningful messages that they try to communicate. Also, her choices of films are so diverse, which reflect her risk-taking and challenging spirit. There is no doubt that she indeed is one of the best actresses that Hollywoods can ever have in its history.

Madonna

Madonna is probably the most successful female pop artist on the planet, and of all time. Although I may not necessarily agree with whatever personal values she may have, she is indeed a genius in marketing and media manipulations. Unlike Michael Jackson, Prince and other artists of the 80s whose fame faded, Madonna's popularity has never ceased when in fact she is not so much gifted in musical talent. Yet, her brilliant ways of creating controversies and marketing herself are beyond anyone's grip. She constantly seeks for change and perfection, which I give great admiration to. Knowing how to express herself in creative ways, she indeed is a leading stylist of the century.
