Star Fox Mission Three

Coneria: Destructor
A tank with three caps on it. Destructor will lift two of its caps like a shell game and expose two bumps. It will also shoot from the bombs and missiles from under the treads. To destroy it you must destroy all three bumps. However only the flashing parts of the bumps are vulnerable and if the caps rest restored bumps will be regenerated.

Asteroid Belt: Blade Barrier
This is a large disk with six arms and three spinning blades like a blender. The blades will spin the spot. At this point three missiles shoot out from the arms. Blast them and then concentrate on the arms. Now a triangular tractor beam will try to attach itself to the arwing. Avoid this by going to the extreme of the screen. If you get caught roll the arwing by tapping L or R repeatedly in sets of two's, i.e.tap-tap, tap-tap, ..., and fire the retros. If you escaped or avoided the being slices, the three other arms are exposed. Repeat until all of the arms are destroyed. When they are the blades falls towards you, avoid it. Finally shoot the middle like crazy.

Fortuna: Monarch Dodora
This is a two headed dragon, with a distinct two heads, body, and triangular prism tipped tail. At the first the Monarch runs away from you swinging its tail. From the tail spews eggs which hatch into birds, and try to crash into the arwing. At some point the dragon stops and gets right in front of the arwing and inns around. Use the retros and maneuver up and down to avoid the heads and tails. Then he trots a bit forward, pauses and leaps ahead. Awards he faces the arwings and walks forward spewing fire. When it get real close it turns, jumps away, and the cycle repeats. to defeat the Monarch you have to shorten the heads or tail. Shoot both heads until it has no necks, or shoot the tip of the tail until it gets as short as its wings. At this point the main body becomes vulnerable and then you can shoot it to deal damage and kill it. Be quick though because the necks and tail regrow.

Sector Z: Atomic Core
This is a #$(*. Like before the core is in the middle and spinning around are the three force field generators. However now a shot will switch settings. If the generator is on it becomes off, and if off it becomes on. Again I find that rolling the arwing vertically, easing over to the edge, and shooting one laser at a time. Avoid crashing into the generators, the force fields, and the Atomic Core II, who comes out more often. When all three generators are down, the core opens. Shoot like crazy at the center, avoiding missiles and lasers. Be quick for the generators will come back if you are not fast.

Macbeth: Spinning Core
Another tougie, considering you came thought a volcanic zone. The core will burrow up and spin around. Shoot the facets and avoid the cores fire. The more you knock off the faster it gets. When all the facets are gone and the core fully opens it gets crazy. Only the little pin that it spins on is vulnerable. Shoot it while avoiding the barrage of missiles and the explosion of blue sphere from it. The spheres are immune to lasers are nova bombs so you can only dodge.

Venom (atmosphere): Great Commander
This guy is annoying and the battle very long. Great commander as you can see is made of of three parts. It will comes towards you while firing. Eventually it will pass under you, the arwing will spin, and the process repeats. On each wing are three tiny windows. Shoot those down to damage it. I usually end up nova bombing it and hoping for the best. Also the more damage it gets the greater its fire. At full power Great Commander will only shoot one or two random lasers. However that attack grows to plasma and missile barrages that don't help.

Venom (surface): Phantron???
Never made it here but I believe it will be a harder version of the second Phantron. Here is how it acts in mission one:
First it will attack as it did in the atmosphere. When you nearly destroyed it, it will shift into a machine with a small body and two large legs; and heal itself. Now it is hard. It will shoot missiles, lasers, and plasma toward the arwing. Keep a rapid stream of laser fire and aim at the center body. When patron takes some damage it will hop to a different place. After three hops, it will make a long jump to the arwing. Fly all the way to the right or left. It will then reposition itself and split into three! The three will slide randomly and still shoot lasers, missiles and plasma. Find the real one and fire. Repeat the cycle. Also once in a while it will throw it legs at to slowly. Dodge by moving to the extremes of the screens. When it dies do not rest, the legs and body will slide to you. Make sure they don't crash into the arwing.

Andross
Never made it here either but most likely more aggressive and you have to damage Andross the cube even more.
Andross now is a cube with pyramids on two sides of the cube. His attack is to form a face and spit out spinning blocks, weave moderately to dodge. After a time the face will inhale everything. Don't worry, the arwing won't go in. After it will spit out a whole #$$@# load of blocks. Weave accurately to avoid them. Areas in front of the eyes seem to have the least congestion. To beat him blast out both eyes. When both eyes are destroyed (red), the face will break apart and the cube will fly toward the arwing. Shoot the pyramids untill they change color. Damage the cube enough and Andross is destroyed. If you didn't inflict enough, the face will reform and you have to remove it again to get to the cube.
