The old boathouse steps can be found at the intersection of South Princeton Ave. and East Willow St. Just go down the driveway and down the path, and you'll find the old
rusted doorway to the steps. The steps once led down to a boathouse that was most likely used for the once thriving carp industry in Wenonah. All that is left of the boathouse is a few buried
cinder blocks and a concrete slab that may have been a dock or doorway. The steps themselves have weathered away, but are still a nice site to see. They are now one of the entrances to the
Langston's Lake Trail, which leads down to the Teahouse. There are plans of restoring them soon. |
