It's Not Easy!

Wild horses do not want any part of the riding scene as can be seen in these pictures. They can inflict some hefty wounds on the cowboys including concussions, bites, broken bones and painful bruises.

The horses used in wild horse racing are from privately owned stock and are not a part of the  Bureau of Land Management's wild horses who are protected by law. For more information see our Animal Welfare page.
