gets underway in Clevland, Ohio with huge fireworks. JR:
'Welcome everybody to the first RAW since Wrestlemania, and my as always
what a show tonight may be. PH:
'That's right tonight, the king of ECW Rhynoooo will be here fighting for
the chance to be the Number One Contender for The WWF Hardcore
Championship.' JR:
'Test was scheduled to be in that triple threat match up but Commissioner
Foley has ordered that it be Rhyno in that match, his explosive debut will
be coming up soon.' 2
Hardcore's music hits and all eight members of the faction enter the arena
to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Garcia:
'Ladies and gentlemen please show your appreciation for 2 Hardcore...!!' The
crowd continue to boo as the eight members enter the ring with
microphones. Jericho:
'Welcome to RAW is Jericho... Dorkoration,
this is the first real time I have had to speak to my favourite friends,
you lot! 2 Hardcore is running this federation at the moment and it is
going to continue a whole lot longer than this. But Dorkoration, tonight I, the ayatollah of rock and Rollah
do not care about you, instead I am turning my attention to you, Billy
Gunn. Billy, tonight you will
receive the single most ass kicking you have ever received form me, and I
will become the number one contender for the IC title at Backlash.
Talking of the IC title, Rikishi...' Rikishi:
'Big Bossman, tonight it is me and you for this here title.
Sorry chump this title is staying around The Phat Man's waist, and
Chris if it is me and you at Backlash, then that's fine, we will fight to
the finish and may the best man win.' Christian:
'Now it seems that I have a night off tonight, but let me see, Crash V
Malenko number one Contendership for MY title, for MY title, that's what I
am saying, I am the only current double world champion and that's how its
going to stay.' Edge:
'Now Kai En Tai, you are the number one contenders for mine and
Christian's belt, well at Backlash, we are going to defeat your asses, in
what ever stipulation you want, come on give me and Christian your best
shot. Raven:
'Rhyno, you my friend should not mess with The Raven, I am the four time
Hardcore champion and I know that you are after my belt, you ran down my
friend the Big Show who has recovered enough to be here tonight and
believe me, you will not walk out the number one contender, in fact you
will not walk out at all!' Big
Show: 'Rhyno, watch your damn back, EVERY second I am watching you,
waiting to strike, stay healthy...' H}{H:
'Kurt Angle, tonight me and you, finisher match, who's first, pedigree or
Olympic Slam?? We shall see, it's all about the game, and I am The Game.' Undertaker:
'Perry Saturn, who the hell are you, you have been left on the injured
list, by me, the big d... No
Chance hits and the crowd erupts Bossman,
Kane, Kurt Angle, Rhyno, The Hardyz and HBK all enter the arena, all
fifteen men eyeball each other. Bossman
grabs a mic... BBM:
'2 Hardcore, please shut the hell up!!!!
The Corporation is here and reinforced, tonight The Corporation
will rule over all of you, we will reign this federation once again, I
guaren-damn-tee it.' No
Chance hits and The Corporation, leave as do 2 Hardcore. PH:
'JR, you talk about intense, that was extremely intense, it could have
gone off at any time and remember The Corporation have joined forces with
The Right and The Great Force to assassinate 2 Hardcore, what is going to
happen here tonight?' Camera
changes to The Corporation's locker room, Bossman is preparing himself for
the match up with Rikishi, BREAK RAW
comes back on air in 2 Hardcore's locker room and Rikishi is psyching
himself up, Jericho wishes him good luck but Rikishi states he does not
need it. Match
One Bossman V Rikishi - Intercontinental Championship Garcia:
'This match is scheduled for one fall and is for The WWF Intercontinental
Championship, introducing first, the challenger, from Cobb County,
Georgia, he is a member of The Corporation he weighs in at 315 pounds, The
Big Bossman!' Bossman's
music hits and he enters the arena Garcia:
'His opponent, from Tonga, weighing in at 401 pounds, he is a member of 2
Hardcore, he is the WWF Intercontinental Champion - Rikishi!!!' Rikishi's
music hits and he enters the arena with his belt. Bossman
runs out of the ring to meet Rikishi and spears him on the ramp, Rikishi
quickly gets back to his feet and the two begin hammering away at each
other as they slowly make their way towards the ring.
Rikishi gains control with kicks to the midsection of Bossman and
Bossman falls to the floor right outside the ring, Rikishi begins to stomp
away at him before picking him up and throwing him into the ring.
Rikishi follows him but this allows Bossman time to recover which
he does and he low blows Rikishi behind the ref's back.
Bossman gains the upper hand by smashing Rikishi's head to the
turnbuckle, before executing a DDT, Bossman goes for the quick cover, 1,2,
Rikishi gets a shoulder up, Rikishi starts to recover and gets to his feet
but Bossman is laying in wait and he simply knocks him straight back down
again. Rikishi then launches
himself at Bossman and the two fall into the corner where they begin to
brawl, Bossman goes for a piledriver but Rikishi manages to toss him over
his shoulder. Rikishi now
goes for the pin, 1,2, Bossman kicks out, Bossman reacts with hard right
hands which knock Rikishi over the top rope, Bossman follows and starts to
beat The Phat Man down to the floor, Bossman then goes for the ring bell
but just as he is about to hit Rikishi with it, the ref stops him.
This allows Rikishi to plant a kick into the stomach of Bossman,
and he keels over, Rikishi now goes for the bell, but the ref tries to
stop him, Rikishi's answer to this is to knock the referee out with a huge
scissor kick, he then smacks Bossman round the head with the bell and
throws him back in the ring, Rikishi makes a signal to the back expecting
2 Hardcore to come running out but instead The Corporation appear!!
Rhyno leads the attack on Rikishi spearing him into the corner,
Kane then goes for a chokeslam and he connects.
The Hardyz do a swanton and Twist of Fate and finally as HBK stomps
away at Rikishi, Kurt Angle locks in the ankle lock, Rikishi is unable to
tap out as he has been knocked unconscious, a sickening snap of Rikishi's
ankle is heard, every one is left wondering where the hell 2 Hardcore are,
the crowd continue to cheer as Rhyno wakes up the referee and Kane throws
Bossman on Rikishi, the ref slowly counts,1..........2.........3.........
Bossman is The New Intercontinental Champion!! Garcia:
'The winner of the match, and NEW Intercontinental Champion - The Big
Bossman!!' JR:
'What is going on why didn't 2 Hardcore help their buddy?' Camera
changes to show a fork lift truck in front of 2 Hardcore's locker room,
finally Big Show burst through it, and 2 Hardcore run out towards the
ring. Mean
while The Corporation have left and EMTs are taking Rikishi away, as The
Phat Man and now former champ lies motionless.
2 Hardcore reach Rikishi. H}{H:
'The Corporation are going to pay for this, mark my words.' Match
Two - Crash V Malenko - Number One Contendership for Lightheavyweight
Championship Garcia:
'This match is scheduled for One Fall and is for The WWF Light Heavy
Weight Number One Contendership, introducing first, from Mobile, Alabama,
weighing in at allegedly well over 400 pounds - Crash Holly.' Crash's
music hits and he enters the arena. Garcia:
'His opponent, weighing in at 212 pounds, Dean Malenko.' Malenko's
music hits and he enters the ring. The
two grapple in the middle of the ring, but Malenko gains the advantage by
shoulder blocking Crash to the floor, he stomps away at Crash's head,
before running to the ropes and elbowing Crash, Crash slowly gets to he
feet but Malenko drop kicks Crash back down, he goes for the pin,1,2,
Crash kicks out. Crash
retaliates with kicks and punches of his own but Malenko attempts to whip
Crash into the ropes but Crash reverses it and Malenko is whipped into the
ropes, Crash meets him with a clothesline but Malenko fails to fall to the
floor, Crash make him fall by punching him square in the jaw, Crash mounts
Malenko and starts to choke him but the referee stops this by pulling
Crash off of him, Crash then jumps back on Malenko and punches away at
Malenko's head, Crash stops this, gets back up and goes for a figure four
leg lock!! Malenko is
screaming in pain, but he slowly makes his way to the ropes, where the
referee is forced to break up the hold, Crash refuses though and holds on
for a few extra seconds, finally Crash releases the hold but it is clear
that the damage has really been done by Crash.
Malenko manages to get back to his feet but Crash knocks him
straight back down with attacks to his leg using chop blocks.
Crash executes the falcon arrow on the helpless Malenko, goes for
the pin,1,2,3 and gets the victory!' Garcia:
'The winner of the match and NEW number one contender for the
lightheavyweight championship - Crash!' BREAK
RAW
comes back with Billy Gunn being interviewed by Kevin Kelly. KK:
'Billy what, are your thoughts on the match tonight with Chris Jericho?' BG:
'Well Kevin it is simple, I am here to help destroy 2 Hardcore, and I will
do that, tonight every one is together in the fight to destroy 2 Hardcore
and Big Bossman has done his part, now I will do mine.' KK:
'Are you at all worried that 2 Hardcore will get involved in the match?' BG:
'I am, yes but I just hope that Chris Jericho is man enough to fight me
one on one, as no one will be interfering for me, it's going to be me, and
just me.' KK:
'OK, thanks for you time and good luck...' The
camera switches to 2 Hardcore's locker room and Jericho is speaking to the
group. Jericho:
'Right listen up guys, I do not want any of you interfering, OK?
It is me against Billy, I have to prove myself, I've got some stick
about riding on your backs, but now I have to do this myself, and I am
going to get back on the path on bringing the IC title back to 2
Hardcore!' Big
Bossman is seen walking around the backstage area with his title looking
very pleased with him self. Chris
Jericho is about to go for this match, when Michael Cole walks up to him. MC:
'Excuse me Chris, can I get a word in please...' Jericho:
'Mitchell Cole, shut the hell up jerky, how dare you come up to me before
my match, all you need to know is that I am going to beat the crap out of
Billy Gunn, to become the number one contender, interview over. BREAK Match
Three - Chris Jericho V Billy Gunn - Intercontinental Number One
Contendership Match Garcia:
'This match is scheduled for one fall and is for the number one
Contendership for the WWF Intercontinental Championship, introducing
first, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, weighing in at 231 pounds, he is a
member of 2 Hardcore, Chris Jericho' Chris
Jericho's music hits and he enters to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Garcia:
'His opponent from Austin, Texas, weighing in at 268 pounds, Billy Gunn!' Billy's
music hits and he enters the ring. Billy
runs at Jericho and the two meet in the middle of the ring where they
exchange blows to the head. Jericho
throws Billy into the corner but Billy Gunn manages to fight back and
Jericho ends up in the opposite corner.
Billy grasps two hands around Jericho's neck and strangles the life
out of him as the crowd cheer. The crowd's boos seem to urge Jericho on though and he reacts
by punching Billy hard to the floor, and as Billy gets back up Jericho
clotheslines him straight back down.
Jericho then uses hard rights to knock Billy back, Jericho whips
Billy into the ropes and executes a perfect powerslam, he goes for the
pin, 1,2, Billy just gets a shoulder up.
Jericho then clotheslines Billy straight over the top rope and
follows him over too. Billy
is first up and he knocks Jericho down.
He then sets him up and elevates Jericho right into the corner
post. Billy then throws
Jericho back in the ring and begins working on him.
He slams him down and stomps away at him, all Jericho can do is
feebly attempt to punch him in the stomach.
Billy react with a backbreaker and goes for the pin, 1,2, Jericho
kicks out, Billy again strangles Jericho and Jericho writhes around
gasping for air. Eventually
Jericho is let free of Billy's grasp and he just about gets to his feet.
Billy goes for a double axe handle but Jericho counters with a
punch to the stomach. He
whips him into the ropes but Billy uses Jericho's own flying elbow attack!
Billy now goes to the top rope but he takes too long as Jericho
falls into the ropes which means Billy slips and lands on the ropes.
Jericho now goes up the turnbuckle and attempts a super-plex which
he lands! Both men are down
but slowly Jericho rolls over to get the pin,1,2, Billy gets a shoulder up
with a quarter of a second left. Jericho
now uses some momentum by running to the ropes and doing a flying elbow
attack, he hammers away at Billy and then again does a reversed flying
elbow. Jericho salutes the
crowd as they boo but does not realise that Billy is crouching behind him,
Billy rolls him up, 1,2, Jericho just kicks out of it, Jericho retaliates
with punches and then accidentally hits the referee which knocks him down.
Jericho spins around only to be met by the fam@$$er!
Billy goes for the pin but the referee is out!
Billy looks frustrated but he goes to the referee to wake him up,
after a while Jericho rolls out of the ring and gets a chair, he slowly
walks back in and stands behind Billy waiting to attack him, Billy turns
around and he levels him right between the eyes, he does a lionsaur and
goes for the pin just as the ref is waking up!!
1.........2.........3, Jericho wins! Garcia:
'The winner of this match, and the NEW number one contender for the IC
championship - Chris Jericho!!' JR:
'I don't believe it, Billy Gunn had that match won right there but Jericho
used a weapon, that's not right.' Jericho
stumbles back stage and is met by Kevin Kelly KK:
'Congratulations on your win Chris Jericho' Jericho:
'Shut up hermy, at the end of the day, Chris Jericho went out there and
beat Billy Gunn without interference from anyone, Bossman you are just
keeping my title warm for me, see you at Backlash...' Match
Four - Taka V Rhyno V Scotty 2 Hotty Garcia:
'This match is for the number one Contendership for the Hardcore
Championship, introducing first, from Japan, weighing in at 171 pounds, he
is one half of Kai En Tai - Taka Michinokou!' Taka's
music hits and he enters the arena with his flag. Garcia:
'His opponent from Westbrook, Maine, weighing in at 209 pounds, Scotty 2
Hotty!' Scotty's
music hits and he enters the arena. Garcia:
'Their opponents, from Detroit Michigan, he is a member of The Corporation
- weighing in at 260 pounds -
Rhyno!!' PH:
'It's Rhyno, Rhyno is here!!!!!' Rhyno's
music hits and he charges to the ring. Rhyno storms into the ring and gores Scotty straight away,
Taka then runs at him but he is tossed over the top rope, Rhyno follows
him but Taka has recovered and he dropkicks Rhyno.
Rhyno then receives kicks from Taka, and Taka finally manages to
put him to the floor. Scotty
is now back up and he gets out of the ring and back suplex's Taka
Michinokou. Scotty dances
around for a bit but it is for too long as Rhyno gets back up and
headbutts Scotty down. Rhyno
then proceeds to chop the living hell out of Scotty until his chest is red
raw. Scotty is rolled back
into the ring and Rhyno whips Scotty into the ropes, Scotty ducks however
and he punches Rhyno in the face he then clotheslines the monster to the
floor! Taka is back up by now
though and he gets back into the ring armed with a chair.
He levels Scotty but Rhyno executes a huge punch which knocks Taka
from the ring. Rhyno follow
and he smashes Taka's face to the announce table, Scotty then comes out
but Rhyno spots him and gores him into the barrier.
Scotty slumps to the floor seemingly unconscious.
Rhyno continues his assault on Taka by throwing him into the steps
and then the ringpost. The
two then fight up the ramp and Taka attempts to clothesline him down but
Rhyno simply will not move, instead Taka tries to punch Rhyno but Rhyno
just blocks it and punches Taka right back.
By now the two have fought their way to the top of the ramp.
Rhyno throws Taka through the gorilla position (where they come
out) and into the backstage area. Rhyno
dominates Taka throwing him into everything that they walk past.
Eventually Rhyno stops the punishment and disappears from camera,
when he comes back he is in a fork lift truck, the one that the
Corporation used to block 2 Hardcore's room with and he drives it towards
Taka, Taka is pinned against a wall and Rhyno gets out and places a hand
on him, 1,2,3, Rhyno wins, the referee holds up Rhyno's hand but he is
attacked by Raven - The Hardcore Champion, Raven attempts his DDT but
Rhyno is having none of it, he throws him into a wall and gores him
straight through it!!!! On the other side of the wall Rhyno lies on top of Raven and
the referee counts 1,2,3 - New Hardcore Champion!
Rhyno picks up the belt and legs it, Raven, Taka and Scotty all lie
motionless. Garcia:
'The winner of this match and new Hardcore Champion, Rhyno!!' PH:
'Rhyno is the new champ, I guess he does not need to be number one
contender any more!' BREAK 2
Hardcore are in the back and their dressing room has been done over by
themselves, they cannot believe that The Corporation has taken 2 of their
belts in one night. Match
Five - H}{H V Kurt Angle - Finisher match. Garcia:
'This match is a finisher match in which when either the Pedigree or
Olympic Slam has been executed the match is over.
Introducing first, from Greenwich, Conneticut, weighing in at 246
pounds, he is a member of 2 Hardcore, he is the WWF European Champion -
Triple H!!' The
Game's music hits and he enters the arena
Garcia:
'His opponent from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania weighing in at 220 pounds, he
is a member of The Corporation - Kurt Angle!' Kurt's
music hits and he enters the arena. H}{H
starts the better of the two with kicks and punches to Kurt as he enters
the arena, it seems H}{H is keen to reduce the deficit of wins by The
Corporation tonight. Eventually
Kurt is kicked into the corner, but he rushes out at H}{H and receives a
knee smash. H}{H
continues to pummel away at the 2 time WWF champions and Kurt is soon
whipped into the ropes and elbowed out of the ring.
H}{H gets out of the ring too but Kurt manages to back drop H}{H
into the rail. Kurt quickly
throws H}{H back into the ring and he punches H}{H into the corner.
He whips him to the opposite side of the ring and he does a bulldog
head lock on the European Champion. Kurt
attempts an Olympic Slam but H}{H manages to kick out of the clutches of
Kurt Angle, Kurt still manages to locks on a sleeper hold though and he
wears down H}{H as he falls to the floor.
H}{H hoist Kurt onto his back and summons up all of his strength
and backs into the corner, knocking Kurt off of his back, H}{H attempts to
recover but Kurt follows him so H}{H is forced to run around the ring to
escape Kurt. H}{H gets back
into the ring and Kurt runs after him but Kurt runs straight into a full
nelson slam, H}{H again attempts to get some rest and he does so as Kurt
is knocked out on the floor temporarily.
Kurt struggles back to his feet and is met by a clothesline from
The Game. Kurt again manages
to pick himself up H}{H runs at him but Angle goes for the Olympic Slam,
H}{H is on his back but wriggles free and falls behind Kurt, landing on
his feet, Kurt turns around and H}{H kicks him in the stomach, Kurt keels
over and H}{H does the pedigree, winning the match! Garcia:
'The winner of the match - Triple H!!' Triple
H exits looking thoroughly worn out. Kane
is in the back walking towards the arena, ready for his match up Undertaker
is seen, with his WWF Championship belt walking towards the arena BREAK Main
Event - Undertaker V Kane - Buried Alive Match Garcia:
'The following contest is a buried alive match in which the opponent must
be thrown into the grave and buried - ALIVE!
Introducing first weighing in at 326 pounds, he is a member of The
Corporation - Kane!!' Kane's
music hits and The Big Red Machine enters the ring. Garcia:
'His opponent, from Houston, Texas, weighing in at 328 pounds, he is a
member of 2 Hardcore, he is the WWF Champion - The Undertaker' Undertaker's
music hits and he enters the ring Kane
starts the match off by kicking Taker in the stomach.
He follows this up by punching Taker to the floor, Taker gets back
up but is met by chops from The Big Red Machine.
Kane then whips Undertaker into the ropes but Undertaker reverses
it and throws Kane into the ropes with authority.
Kane bounces off of the ropes and is met by a side walk slam form
the WWF Champion. Kane
instantly sits back up though and he throws Undertaker onto the roes,
Undertaker winces in pain, and falls off of the ropes outside the ring,
Kane steps over the ropes and he grabs Undertaker, throwing him up the
ramp towards the pit. Kane
grasps his hand around Undertaker's hand but Undertaker stops the
chokeslam by kicking Kane hard in the groin area! Kane keels backwards and Taker takes him back to the ring
where they battle it out once again.
Taker smashes Kane's head into the buckle and then begins to punch
away at him again. Kane is
opened up, and his blood begins to flow but Undertaker will not stop the
relentless assault. Taker
then calls for old school and he walks the ropes, jumping down hard on the
helpless Kane. Taker then throws Kane out of the ring and the two head
towards the pit. Kane is
thrown into the hole but as Taker goes to get the shovel, Kane gets back
out, Taker turns around and receives a thrust punch right to the throat.
Kane now picks up the shovel and aims it at his older brother's
head, he connects and Undertaker falls down in a heap, blood spurting from
his head where Kane hit him. Kane
goes over to him and begins stomping at him, Undertaker barely able to
defend himself struggles to his feet, he charges Kane but The Big Red
Machine simply moves out of the way, Taker falls down into the dirt.
Kane now makes his way to the announcer's table, he picks up
Taker's belt and runs at Taker with it, he smashes Taker clean over the
head with it, and the champion falls to the floor.
Taker is in trouble as Kane picks him up and does a chokeslam on
him, Kane rolls Taker into the pit and starts to shovel the dirt on him,
Taker is totally covered and the ref calls for the bell. Garcia:
'The winner of this match - Kane!' Kane's
arm is lifted high by the ref, but Kane is attacked by The Big Show he
turns Kane around and chokeslams him into the pit too, Big Show gets the
mic Show:
'Rhyno you ran my ass down, this is what's going to happen to you, only
far worse...' JR: 'What's going to happen, I'll see you next week on RAW!!!!'
