Ross Report - 14/4/01

Random thoughts from under the black Resistol hat, back, for this week's Ross Report.  Plenty of goings on here in the federation including title changes, resignings, and stable warfare!!!!

Wednesday will see the first event after the Easter break here in the federation, where we will travel to Knoxville, Tennesee, it looks like it'll be sold out or very close to it. We'll be at the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville on Saturday for SmackDown! Nashville is also one of our favorite stops. This will hopefully set us up for an excellent show for Backlash, which will be on Sunday, April 29, one matche has been set all ready, Edge and Christian V Kai en Tai for the tag titles in what may be the most hellacious match ever seen in the fed's recent history, it will be a two out of three fall match with the first fall being a boiler room brawl match, the second a dumpster match and the third fall, if needed of course, a brutal hell in a cell match, this will be unbelievable, and may take over the 4 way TLC Elimination Match for The Tag Titles as the greatest match ever in the fed, only time will tell and it will be a hell of a feat for both teams to come out unscathed.  It is almost definate that The Undertaker (if he is still champ) will defend his title against eithe The Rock, Billy Gunn, Kane or The Big Bossman, I will talk more about that particular mini tournament later.  Jericho will have a match at Backlash for the IC title, who it is against we do not know but at the moment Bossman is scheduled for that match.

On to injuries now, Rikishi will return from a one week absence on RAW or Smackdown! as he had a slight niggle from a former shoulder injury, he was rested after losing his strap to Bossman on RAW and should be fine as the doctors gave him the green light to make a quick return.  Rikishi is a hugely succesful character and is the ONLY 3 time European Champ at the moment.  Perry Saturn has not competed in a while now and will not compete at RAW, whether he will even be there is not decided yet, guess we will soon see.  The 500 pound monster The Big Show returned on Smackdown! and recaptured gold for the third time, he is the new Hardcore Champion and it looks that the severe bruising that he suffered by Rhyno will not stop him from missing any more TV time.  Gangrel and Steve Blackman may be out for some time after both being beaten brutally by The Right, expect returns in a month at the earliest.

We're just a few weeks away from Insurrextion, our U.K. Pay-Per-View.  No matches have been set for this early May PPV which is just after Backlash, there are simply too many events yet in the pipe line to decide a card for Insurrextion so nothing can be arranged, matches will be decided soon and you will all be informed.  More on Insurrextion next week.

RAW was a solid show in which Rhyno made his debut in a familiar Hardcore match up with Scotty 2 Hotty and Taka, he decimated these two and then found the champion Raven, Raven was gored through a wall and pinned, giving Rhyno his first gold on his very first night in the fed.  On the same night Bossman became a two time IC Champion, defeating Rikishi and the stable ware fare flared between 2 Hardcore and The Corporation, this has really kicked up and is easily the greatest rivalry seen in the federation so far.  Taker defended his title on Smackdown! as did Bossman but as I said before Rhyno was defeated by The Big Show as the 500 pounder became the Hardcore Champ.

Scheduled for RAW on Wednesday is the three tournament matches, these are to determine the number one contender for the WWF Championship and are to be contested by Billy, The Rock, Kane and Bossman, one of these very deserving men will face Taker at Backlash for his title which he would have held for a month come Backlash.

Apologies most go to Edge and Christian, last week I made a statement about the men who have held three titles in this federation and forgot to mention Edge and Christian, they rightly pointed out that they have held three belts each too, Edge being Tag, Hardcore, European and Christian being Tag, Hardcore, Light Heavy Weight.  Sorry for this, still waiting for the first holder of four titles.  Billy Gunn, Bossman, Christian, Edge, Kane, Saturn, H}{H and The Undertaker have all held three, will one of those be the first to hold four??!!

William Regal was resigned recently, he now has a Euro title shot at the formidable H}{H who has been kicked out of 2 Hardcore, and replaced by none other than William Regal, it seems at the moment that you cannot get any where with out being in a stable so may be William Regal wl have the upper hand against H}{H.  On to the stable situation, The two main stables (I'm sure you know who they are) are simply running this fed right now, there is one simple reason why this is, they roleplay consistently and are the best roleplayers, so to all those out there who think they deserve a shot, ROLEPLAY SOME MORE!!!  You will always get your reward in this fed.

Congrats must go to The Undertaker (again) he tops the charts this week for the third time running despite losing a match to his brother Kane, also go to Big Show for his twelve place climb that has seen him reach the top twenty.  We take note of every bodies position, and if we think you deserve a push up the rankings you will get it, I guarentee it.

Quick note to welcome Spike Dudley, who made his entrance today, welcome, enjoy yourself and good luck.

Take care, keep roleplaying and I'll see you here next week!
