Introduction

This lesson was developed as part of an ongoing project on Business Communication and Co\Op teaching and is part of projects prepared on the internet for students.  Students will work on exercises that will demonstrate their ability to follow instructions. They will have a guest speaker the next day that will enhance their activities.

What the lesson plan is about is students working on an exercise that will demonstrate their ability to follow directions. They will do some research on the WebQuest and prepare an application letter and resume to turn-in by tomorrow morning. When they finish the activity they will be able to write effectively and should be able to follow the task for building an application and resume. A copy of their activities will be put in the portfolio. The students will write and format an application letter and resume in preparation for a successful job interview. They will describe what should be included in an application letter and resume. They will complete a resume worksheet that shows how professional they really can be and will be handed in. They will fill out an job application letter and resume after reviewing possible job openings. Afterward, they will have a quiz over what they have learned and it will be submitted online after reading the assignment on the chapter.
