Apple Ice

In the summer, freeze apple juice or apple sauce for a cool treat for your horse.

HORSE TREAT 1

1 Apple

1/2 Cup oats

1 Carrot

1/2 cup honey

Cut carrot and apple into small pieces in a bowl, add oats then honey. Mix well and feed.

This is also excellent for mixing meds in. If there is  a lot of powder, add more honey.

MAN AND HORSE TREAT

1 cup uncooked oatmeal

1 cup flour

1 cup shredded carrots

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoons corn or vegetable oil

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup molasses

Min in bowl in order listed, make small balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Be sure to save the horse some.

Keep your treats in a zip-lock bag or covered bowel to help them last longer.

Peppermint body rub

3 tablespoons oil of peppermint 

1 bottle wintergreen rubbing alcohol

1 Large peppermint candy cane

Put oil and candy in alcohol ,allow to dissolve, add to one quart of water.

Liniment recipe2

2 pints clear alcohol

2 pints wintergreen alcohol

2 pints witch hazel

1/2 bottle store bought liniment

pour all into clean one gallon container, top off with white vinegar.
