The Informer: Find Out the Latest In Rumours and Hot News Around the WWF/nWo Today. Plus, "Did You Know?" Read on... |
•The Informer: -Things are heating up for this year’s King of the Ring PPV, but what you don’t see is all the heat going on backstage. My sources tell me that despite the strong poise of one major faction, some members are noticeably unhappy, and unless things change, we could see some major turbulence. -Word has it that a former major WWF/n.W.o. Superstar could be on his way back to the federation very soon, but fans may not recognize him at first. -Federation officials are close to signing a deal with one of the top acts in music today, to perform at the King of the Ring Preshow, which you can hear LIVE on WWF/n.W.o. Radio. Many believe that this would definitely add some spice to the event, and could clearly be an attraction in itself. -Work has already gone underway in the construction of the PPV’s grand Entrance, which from what I’ve seen, fits in very well with the theme of the event. -Speaking of this upcoming RAW, apparently we should be seeing of a very major revelation in the Owen Hart/Blue Blazer saga. -Music Director Jim Johnson has been evidently very busy working in the recording studios composing new themes for a handful of wrestlers, one of which, is Big Money. His new theme apparently is a much better fit to his persona, and will debut this upcoming RAW. -On the topic of federation music, billboard analysts are expecting “Themes With Attitude” (which can be found in the current edition of the ShopZone catalogue) to go Platinum within the first 3 weeks of sales. -Let me debunk the rumour that the federation will be adding a new television show to its roster which will take the place of RAW. Officials have been discussing the ideas of a new show for federation TV, but it definitely will NOT take the place of RAW. -The marketing department has been under a lot of heat as of late. Although the federation's official line of Wrestling Action Figures has been taking the market by storm for the most part, one idea to make "sweating" action figures has been highly criticized. Apparently, it was the worst idea since "Action Fat Yokozuna", and re-releasing the same top superstars again and again...series after series.... -Finally, after overhearing an interesting telephone call from WWF/n.W.o. President, Vince McMahon, I have been led to believe that his “big announcement” this upcoming RAW is definitely worth tuning in for. Trust me on this one. •The Informer*"Did You Know?" -Federation Facts: 1) The WWF/nWo world title is the Toybiz Heavyweight title. The Jakks WWF title is used as the IC title in the federation, and the Tag Team straps are made by Jakks. 2) In the edition of RAW (in 1997) when the nWo took over the WWF’s show and claimed its stance of power in the federation, the entire episode was shot in a movie-like sequence -complete with a dramatic score- as the former RAW set was destroyed. 3) The federation production crew uses over 12 CDs of music containing the entrance themes of all the past and present WWF/nWo superstars. 4) Upon entering the federation, the MOD’s surprise was renamed “Seven”, because there was already a wrestler in the same stable named “the Giant”. 5) Max Moon and the Robot’s theme music is a personal remix of the “Mission Impossible” theme. 6) The first 2 wrestlers in the federation were Mr. Perfect and Sgt. Slaughter. It was many months thereafter until the third competitor was signed- Tatanka. Needless to say, the two wrestled each other a lot. 7) At one point, the nWo hired their own referee, played by Peter Venkman. 8) The length of a real life WWF/nWo RAW broadcast is almost just as long as what you see on WWF television- usually 1hour and 30 minutes. |
