Environmental Science, (12/2000) Berkshire Community College, Pittsfield, MA Computer Skills Have experience running applications on Windows 3.1, 95, 98, NT, 2000, and XP Platforms. To a lesser extent also have experience running applications on Mac OS, and Red Hat based Linux operating systems. Have experience replacing hardware components such as hard drives, memory chips, main boards, CPU’s and whatever card I'm moved to replace or add. I presently have a weather station, a direction finding lightning detection system, and a VLF (ferrite winding) sferric detector interfaced with a few machines. I have created and am presently maintaining a couple of web sites when time permits; http://www.wxgeek.net and The Full Moon Rising Page. Civic Organizations and Certificates held I'm presently a volunteer staff at Pittsfield EMA, a member of Skywarn (NWS Albany, NY), and an amateur radio operator [call sign KB1EHS]. Currently holding certificates in Medical First Responder's Training, First Responder's Haz-Mat awareness training, and recently completed a course in laboratory safety (meeting OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1450.) Also ASE/EPA certified in automotive air conditioning (CFC's) recovery and recycling. A.T.T.P. certified in N.Y.S. Specialty areas include automotive electricity and electronics, emissions systems and repair, and computerized automotive performance systems. Previously held certification in CPR for the professional rescuer (expired 4/9/2004) and certificates in auto repair by ASE. Those specialty areas included, braking systems, electrical and electronic repair, and suspension and steering systems.
