Work Experience

Presently Employed at Berkshire Community College, 1350 West St. Pittsfield, MA, as a Biology Lab Technician. Duties include setting up and tearing down equipment and demos for lab projects, mixing chemicals, media prep, haz-mat and biohazard decontamination and disposal, operation of the autoclave, operation of the distillery, inventory control, and occasionally assisting in the environmental and chemistry labs should time allow. From Aug 2001-Jul 2003 I held the position of Environmental Lab technician.  Duties similar to the Bio lab tech, with the exception of media prep and autoclave operation.

Beginning Spring 2004 I hold a second position at Berkshire Community College as a Lab Assistant in the computer lab. Duties include assisting students in computer operation, software applications, printer operations and basic functionality of the computer lab.

 October 1997-September 2004 Employed at Information Resources, Inc., 4 Federico Dr. Pittsfield, MA, as a Cut-in Specialist/Studio Operator. Duties included performing commercial cut-ins at specified times to targeted groups via retransmission of incoming television signals back out into the local cable system, for the purposes of market research.  I also performed the duties of the Schedule Coordinator (Administrative Assistant), e.g., scheduled, downloaded, mapped, checked in and generated logs for the next week's and next day's events, I then input the results of the above into their database.

1986-1996 Employed at various facilities as an Automobile Technician. Duties included troubleshooting  and repair of starting and charging systems, simple engine tune ups, brake repair, steering and suspension repair, 4 wheel alignments, operating a wheel lift wrecker, (tow truck),  minor electrical work, including reading wiring diagrams and simple schematics, transmission service, cooling system flushes, LOF's,  and exhaust systems installation and repair.

1981-1986 Employed as a Quality Control Inspector at Imco/Brockway Plastics, Pittsfield, MA. Duties included visual and dimensional checks using precision measuring instruments, e.g. calipers; dial depth gauges, ultrasonic thickness gauge, optical comparator and micrometer. Also some experience reading blueprints, utilizing AQL Mil std. 810, and stress testing the merchandise.
